No, instead, it used footage of a rocket taking off like MTV used to show on the hour every hour. But, you probably don't remember that.
The official teaser screamed camp... or if not that then utter corniness. Some of us have just been long enough or knowleadgeable enough to see it.

Just thinking about makes me laugh. Go rent some old tapes (Martian Chronicles, The Thing (original), The Thing (John Carpenter remake), Invaders from Mars).

That official teaser was a joke.

OK i was reading the boards tfw2005 and here's what i gathered:
- Jazz will be a white car
- According to the one's who have seen the pics, he's the one who most resembles he's G1 counterpart.
-Bumblebee old camaro robot mode is similiar but with a ****n out look (duh)
-Ironhide robot mode is black and bulky. He's face is similiar to Prime's. He has many weapons. Kinda resembles a Nemesis Prime.
-Jazz is a bit thinner than bumblebee and all the autobots.
-The rest of the design pics are out there. It's just a matter of time before we get ahold of them.

The people describing them have seen the pics due to familiy working for GM. Their description sound pretty legit, but of course i will wait for the pics before i make any judgement.

Jazz being the most faithful to G1 is very good news, can't wait to see him...hope he as some Alternator action going on.

Ironhide looking like Prime is good news too as I don't mind the Prime design. Hell, compared to Megatron he looks almost G1

interesting to see that so far the autobots are getting a "Okay" mostly from people(aside from bumblebees ape face) design wise but the decepticons forms are being shot down

Agreed. I would love to see Jazz as that car. Of course I would have loved to Prowl in this movie as well because he was my fav transformer growing up. I'm planning on buying the special grade TF toy or whatever it is. You know, the one with moveable fingers?

I also think the teaser trailer should have been the fan-made one. It just seems better. I rewatched the first episode last night. It was awsome and classic.and there was no Sam in there at all. It was Sparkplug (the dad), and Spike(the kid who meets the TFs) Anywa I will still see the movie as long as Jazz looks like Jazz, he's the closest thing to an autobot Prowl in this flick.

Jazz was voiced by this man,
Scattman Crothers

Probably best know by the folks here for his role in The Shining. Also, Transformers The Movie was the last thing he did. He died later that year. And I think Bernie Mac could do a faithful turn on Jazz.
