Superman Returns New interview with Singer and Routh... 'Casting Superman'

It helps prove my point, sure.

No obsession here. I'd forgotten you existed until you showed up last night. or night before, whatever. I just have a decent memory. Gordian knot type thing. You can come up with a 5000 word defense dissertation that includes me obsessing and freaking and gnashing my teeth and sweating, or you can chop the knot in half quite simply. One of em helps you look good, and the other is the truth: I just have a decent memory. It doesn't hurt that you bring up your profession a lot. And again--it's not like you're unique or anything. You're just like a bunch of other "iconoclasts" who stalk internet nerdboards looking for a way to beef up their self-image at the expense of other posters. There's really no deviation. And for all those words you just vomited up so pretentiously--you still have yet to deny a single thing I've said about you, at all. Your silence is complicit, and all that.

Heap on seconds of that "LAST WORD" the glaze is just light and airy enough, dontcha think? I like it, I've had a couple helpings myself. But my name's Fatboy, so dessert isn't a bad word for me. :)

Just a last one.

I never went to Fatboy to ask for any type of help with you, your ego must be spilling from your ears. He has is own agenda with you.

Again, you aren't getting the point. Did I attack you on a four day old post, in which you couldn't decipher humor? I think it was the other way around.

Why do I have to elaborate my position in a certain number of posts to make you happy?

It takes two to tango but you put on the music.

Yes, I did. I came at you, I put on the music. You danced for 8 posts, then chose to call foul. Boo hoo. It was all my fault. I'm such a monster.

Of course Fatboy has some sort of agenda with me, it's painfully obvious. Maybe if you weren't so eager to encourage him, I wouldn't insinuate that he was here to save you.

Seriously, stop ****ing whining about it. It's over move on. By that I don't mean run along to every other thread in the forumn and tell everyone what a bad man I am, oh wait too late, you've done that already.

A lot? Prove it.

Why should I go out of my way to deny your irrelavent evaluations? That's all they are, there's no factual basis for your bile. The harder I try to disprove your claims the more valid they seem. Isn't this one of those traps you were warning Showtimes029 about?

Careful man, your SWF is showing...

you are right, I got sucked in. I shouldn't have looked back after I said I was going to lunch, I shouldn't have brought lunch to teh computer. Oh no, I didn't give up the last word when I said I would, this is going to cost me significance points isn't it?

Howzabout that interview, huh? What a good'n that was. Very positive. So WTF are you girlies arguing about? If you're gonna b*tch at each other like this, do it in PM's.

Don't tell me when to move in. That's not your decision. Are you refering to my comment to Whack in another thread, when we were again joking around.

You are right, I'm in no position to tell you when to move on, what was I thinking?

I leave the dead horse to you sir. Whack away.

We all know that there is no problem anymore, isn't that right Oldguy?

Don't tell Fatboy that, he'll be so disappointed.

It was fun while it lasted. I don't know how this thread wasn't closed a long time ago.

You're little LOL, that is one of the reasons Oldguy gave for validating his ranting and raving.

He didn't like that I thought another posters joke was funny.

I think mine was more like this (Heh Heh  ) If that's not exactly it, I am sure Oldguy can go back and find it.

So that begs the question, should I now flame you for writing LOL? Seems a little ridiculous?

Wow, lookit you go to town on that dead horse. Having fun?

of course it would be ridiculous for you to flame me for that, but this fued seems to have stemmed from miscommunication somewhere.

I hate to admit it but, you're right, horse is dead...and buried. I will retract it.

Ok then, you're making Superman Oldguy, who are you casting for the role? This is your Superman movie, your vision, with whatever plot you want.

What are we, french terrorists? Havent we derailed this thread enough?

I posted my short story prose on my take on a Superman movie months ago. It's there somewhere if you want to go look.

Cast wise?

Other than BR's lack of physique, I don't have any real problem with the cast. Bozworth is a waif, and Spacey's acting only has one setting, smug. Jimmy looks like he might turn out to be an emasculated wimp, and Perry ever the 2-dimensional caricature, but who knows? Maybe the chemistry will work out. I can't really fault the cast yet.

Sure I'd rather have Rachel McAdams as Lois Lane than KB, but I can't fault KB until she does something bad with the role, other than blind me with her enormous 5 head.

"That's why they call them terrorists Kent."

If the thread is still here, than why not fill some more space.

I am more than happy with Spacey. I think he'll steal the show as Luthor.

Alot of people are in favor of Rachel McAdams as Lois, and I can see that. For some reason, I don't know why, Singer wanted Bosworth's look for Lois. Hence Kate Bosworth as Lois and Kerri Russell as the runner up.

I do think the very recent photo of Kate is the best one yet.

Wow, maybe you should actually see some films that he's in. Let's see, Usual Suspects... Smug? Negative. Pathetic and harmless? Yes, although we see that things aren't what they seem at the end. But still, no smugness. And apparently the the academy liked his performance.

Let's look at Seven. Again, I see no smugness. He was a pyscho, but calling him smug is like saying Hitler was sort of a mean guy.

L.A. Confidential. Well, his character was based off of Dean Martin so I'd say he was very self-confident, but he has a change of heart towards the end. Still no sign of this 'smugness' you're talking about.

The Negotiator. He was pretty down to earth and respectable in this, although he became a lion when he was about his work. He certainly wasn't smug in this either, as his work depended on him being at least somewhat receptive and humble so some crazy guy doesn't pull the trigger on a couple of innocents.

American Beauty. He was also a pretty pathetic character in this one with flashes of confident glory, but for the most part he was pretty hopeless, a satirical version of your typical strong, male family man. The Academy agreed once again and gave him an Oscar.

Beyond the Sea, which displayed Spacey's pretty good singing talent. Some people even said he sound better than Bobby Darin! But that's not your trouble so let's look for smugness in this role. He was definitely -- again -- confident but I never detected a smugness other than your typical celebrity outlook on one's self. He broke down pretty good towards the middle though.

It seems to me that he doesn't really play a lot of smug characters to me. And his acting certainly doesn't convey that as well. I see a lot of troubled, pathetic characters with immense flaws and vulnerabilities. And he's very convincing in these roles. Overall, I'd say he's played a nice range.

God damn, this is good.

It's like the French Revolution, but sad.

To some involved...I bet the French Revolution was sad.
