I love Jon Favreau. Everything I've seen from this movie looks like it came right from the comic book. Favreau knows his stuff. Now if only we can get Singer to do the same with Superman:csad:

Singer's a fan of the Superman movies, not the comics. If you figure the movies are always a type of copy off the comics anyway, then SR is basically a copy of a copy and as any photoshop guy can tell you, they don't turn out nearly as well as copies that come off originals.:cwink:

I think it is done to show that the movie is going to stick very close to the spirit of the comic and is done in an effort to pay homage to the iconic visuals we are used to seeing and love. Not to be lazy.

Damn there are some jaded *****y fan boys on the good ole “interweb.” :whatever:

It's old!

But thanks for posted! :)

And they responded aggressively despite knowing everything throughout production, when they praised it.

Just goes to show that fanboys are dumb.

Except me.

I think Superman Returns was as close to perfection as it gets. So well done on many levels. I'm not one for asskissy praising, but that film made me feel like a kid again, and I've yet to have that feeling from any other film in a very long time. I always hear the same arguments that have the insight of a middle-schooler. It's always either skewed as "cheesy", "not enough action" or some similar variant. Unlike the Spider-Man films, as so many people are surprisingly unable to understand, SR could really not have been done any better. It re-established the character flawlessly, and the alternatives would have been pure Hollywood ****e. But I'm sure all the 15-year old fanboys that think they "grew up" on Supes would have adored it.
