Hello guys,
I just rewatched APOCALYPSE... what a terrific and marvellous movie! Sure as hell one of the most epic and visually wonderful superhero movies ever filmed in history! It's also very touching and emotional.
By the way...

During the final battle (SPOILERS):

1- You can see Jean/Phoenix levitating on air, some moments before generating the "firebird" (her essence). While she is still levitating, you can see Apocalypse's force field surrounded by balls of fire... is that Jean's power, or just Apocalypse disintegrating the metal pieces Magneto is throwing at him? :o

2- At a certain point, Phoenix disintegrates Apocalypse's alien armour, the source of his force field (right?). When Beast frees Cyclops, and Cyclops finally fires his optical beams towards Apocalypse (who hasn't his force field anymore --- indeed Magneto had already impaled him), well you can see Apocalypse protecting himself from Cyclops' optical beams through the LARGE force field and then creating the SMALL VIOLET TELEPORTING FIELD inside the LARGER force field. How is that ever possible, since his alien armour was gone? I mean, how can he still create a LARGE FORCE FIELD again? I always assumed the force field was generated by his armour... that's how Magneto managed to impale him moments before.

3- How can Storm's electricity ever hit the Teleporting Field if there was the external Force Field????

4- Is it me or when Apocalypse was creating the Teleporting Field, you can see his image slightly "DISTORTED" behind the violet walls... ??? Or maybe his body was so broken and bent by the metal debris whom Magneto used to impale him, that he appeared this way?
I must say that when Storm's bolt hit the Teleporting Field, you can still see his image/face slightly distorted behind the violet field...
By "distorted" I mean like watching a figure beneath the water...

5- At the very end, when Psylocke escaped and chose to not join the X-Men... she turns her head towards them TWICE. Do you think she was in turmoil and still undecided about it, or she just hated them at that point?

Thank you so much, really.

Psylocke looked pissed at the end. When I am pissed at someone,I givethem that walkout look. As far as joining the X-Men, she wasn't asked nor she showed any interest of ever joining them.

Yeah, you're right but... she turned her head towards them TWICE, not just one time. Why? Regret?

It doesn't mean anything. Did you see any regret with her facial expression? I didn't.

It's like she was a bit undecided... but I could be wrong.

What about the other points?

The forcefield wasn't generated by his armour, it was a mutant power from his body.

Yeah. So we must assume that Magneto impaled him because he had lost access to his power for a brief time (Phoenix was attacking him psychically).

What about the other questions? :yay:

I'd need to rewatch those scenes first.

Can't you rewatch them and pause them to study them closely?

The fire and smoke is Apocalypse's force field vaporising all the metal that Magneto is hurling against it

No, you've got it wrong. Phoenix's first blast strips away the force field and Apocalypse's armour.

Magneto then throws metal spikes and Cyclops fires his blasts. Apocalypse then tries to get away but his teleporting field is disrupted by the lightning. There is no force field around him at this point.

3- How can Storm's electricity ever hit the Teleporting Field if there was the external Force Field????

The external force field was not there at this point, it was blasted away by Phoenix.

4- Is it me or when Apocalypse was creating the Teleporting Field, you can see his image slightly "DISTORTED" behind the violet walls... ??? Or maybe his body was so broken and bent by the metal debris whom Magneto used to impale him, that he appeared this way?

There was always a sort of distortion from the purple teleporting field, it rippled like water

5- At the very end, when Psylocke escaped and chose to not join the X-Men... she turns her head towards them TWICE. Do you think she was in turmoil and still undecided about it, or she just hated them at that point?

She looked back three times. It was a sort of mean and fierce 'I'll be back' look, like we hadn't seen the last of her. Hopefully we haven't.

Thank you so much for your answers. :yay:

Well, correct me if I'm wrong.

When Cyclops hits Apocalypse with his powerful optical blast, you can see that Apocalypse starts creating his teleporting field out of desperation.
WELL, if you look carefully, you can still see Cyke's optical energy hitting an external force field (on the side of the screen) WHILE the teleporting field is being spread around Apocalypse.

Indeed:

Force Field = pink
Teleporting Field = dark violet/purple

Am I wrong? Let me know. Thanks.

P.s: maybe the Celestial armour generated the Force Field, if I'm wrong?

I do think you are wrong.

Phoenix's first blast strips away Apocalypse's force field and armour.

Then Magneto hurls strips of metal to pin him to the spot. Then Cyclops blasts at the metal, superheating it. There is no force field.

Apocalypse begins creating his teleporting bubble but then Storm brings lightning which disrupts it, and then Phoenix strikes again and disintegrates him.

I know, you're right.
It's just that I TRULY remembered that Cyke's optical blast was hitting something while Apocalypse was generating his teleporting field...

Don't you have the DVD/Blu-ray? Re-watch it...

and my new question : where is the deleted scene between Psylocke and Hank

So?
What about Cyke hitting the field?

Since you asked me about this in a PM I figured I might as well respond here. The 'white' you are pointing towards is just another layer of the 'Teleporting Field'. You can see it in previous scenes as well, such as here on the right side of the shot. It's not a separate thing, just an additional layer of effects for the teleportation. It's not as obvious in some of the shots that are more zoomed out, which is why I chose this shot.

Here is another shot as reference. Since it is transparent it's not as easy to see in some of the shots and obviously the purple is much more obvious.

Fantastic. Now it's clear. So basically Cyclops' optical beam cannot "penetrate" or "hurt" Apocalypse's teleporting field. Interesting.

Thank you so much, you're very kind.

IMO those small explosions were from Eric still hurling stuff at apoc..

IMO like any shield it can get overwhelmed, and i think HE was generating them not his armor. So after being impaled there was a slight moment where he was able to refresh the shield.. Though not for long,

3- How can Storm's electricity ever hit the Teleporting Field if there was the external Force Field????

The combination of everything else hitting it, caused it to shrink?

4- Is it me or when Apocalypse was creating the Teleporting Field, you can see his image slightly "DISTORTED" behind the violet walls... ??? Or maybe his body was so broken and bent by the metal debris whom Magneto used to impale him, that he appeared this way?

IMO it was you, I don't remember any 'distortion'

Hate. Pure hate.

So fight extra scene Psyclocke vs Beast isnt available ?

+1. In the trailers it looked like there was more to their fight scene, but was was edited and shortened down for the movie. The footage is not even in the special features bonus part on Bluray.
