Sequels New Raimi Interview

Again, I ask, who said anything about a dark Spider-Man? Have you people never seen an R-rated movie that isn't dark? I wanted it so that the writers are not put into a box like they are now, so that they have leeway to write a better story, with little studio restraint. This isn't coming from someone who doesn't like the movies, or want to see an R-rating for shock value. I honestly believe a better script can be written under a PG-13 rating, but not with the Mr. Softies at Marvel/Sony, who are beginning to see Spider-Man only as a vehicle to make lots of money, hence: A Spider-Man Musical On Broadway. I say this mostly for the villains' sake, because they are almost doomed even before they are written, under Avi Arad's policy that our villains are not really bad motif.

Well, Avi Arad is a *****ebag who produced a Bratz movie that didnt deliver even one bone-on.

Aren't the bratz like 12? Why would you want to get a hard on over 12 year olds, you disgusting freak?

I'm 13, and in the movie they are in highschool. You would know that if you had followed the film as closely as I did.

Plus, not all Bratz are twelve, there are the Bratz Babiez who wear low-cut diapers. Check your girl aisle at the '-Mart.

If Raimi takes the Hobbits job, what a step down. That would be like going from The Godfather franchise directly to direct a smurfs TV movie.

Well then hopefully Peter Jackson will go to Spidey then even though I hated his Kong movie more than anything. Probably because I expected a good story from start to finish instead of Godzilla in Jamaica. :) However if I was Raimi I'd stick to what I do best. As a fan though I want someone new so I don't care.

It was just announced today that Jackson will be producing The Hobbit.

I don't think we should start panicking and saying that Sam isn't returning to direct. I think that Sam will direct Spider-Man 4 instead. It just seems more likley, IMO.

Let's hope so... cause i want to see at least one more movie with these guys again!

Especially Raimi... then the franchise can take a long haitus and start over again with fresh actors and continuity.

Why has Superherohype reduced itself to posting rumors and "speculation"? I always considered this place more of a news source than a rumor mill....

Oh well; I guess nothing lasts forever....

We wouldn't have mentioned it if Sam Raimi hadn't talked about it himself numerous times. This isn't something we cooked up out of nowhere, it's a general concern/issue/news bit/worth mentioning.

Yeah ,leaving the cast and crew is like leaving someone or something you have cheerished for years. It really would be sad to see them go.

If they get a new director for Spider-Man 4 I won't be complaining...Nor if Sam Raimi directs The Hobbit...

Regardless, I am just so damn happy they finally announced plans for the Hobbit movie!

I will die without Tobey. At least one more to make us fans happy. Of course, Sam has to direct.:o

New cast new director let's move on now. We have 3 Raimi films on the books let's see what someone else can bring to the table.

Ok we'll accept that answer but what about your story about the 3 headed gorilla alien baby that gave birth to Michael Jackson's illegitimate son Pokey? ;)

Someone needs to ask Peter Jackson if he'd be interested in directing Spider-Man 4, that'll be the talk of the town. Let Peter Jackson direct SM4 and Raimi direct The Hobbits, and both be a producer on each film. I'm suprised no one has asked P.J. this question, being that the name Raimi keeps popping up with The Hobbits.

Another reason I think Sam will direct Spidey4 instead of The Hobbit is because Sam probably has more passion for Spider-Man than he does The Hobbit. Besides, He has stated that he has alot of passion for Spidey.

I don't know, he seems to want to do The Hobbit film, being that he has already done 3 Spidey films. He may be itching to do something different with his film career. Then again, I would just love to see Peter Jackson do a Spidey film.

i would not wanna see peter jackson direct a spider-man film. personally i found lord of the rings kinda boring and king kong didn't even come close to the greatness of the original. i would prefer to see somebody like ridley scott, sam mendes, or david fincher take on spidey.

I didn't find LOTR boring, I found it great. Which is why I would want P.J. to direct a Spidey film. Although I wouldn't mind Ridley Scott or Fincher either.
