News on the SM and F4 ML waves?

Well, I got a little bit of info regarding these lines. I don't want to say too much, since I was told in confidence (although details were withheld).

Both lines are 6". Spider-Man is movie-based, and FF is comic-based. We already knew this, though.

A lot of the FF figures are based on Icons molds. Doom, Human Torch, and Surfer will look just like the Icons ones only smaller. Thing is based on an Icons mold that was solicited for Toy Biz's Wave 3 but never shown and was obviously bumped.

The controversial "Sigma 6" joints will be used on some of the figures. These are already evident on the Icons Torch and Surfer, so these joints popping up on this FF line shouldn't surprise anyone. Since Thing was based on a TB sculpt, I'm not sure if he'd have them or not. The S6 elbows seem fine on larger figures, but I'm not sure if Thing has them.

The costume choices and articulation choices might surprise and infuriate some people. Namor is in green trunks, though.

My source didn't seem too impressed by these figures. Although, he did say he saw early shots, so they may be better than what he saw. Who knows? Maybe the controversial costumes will be changed as well.

I didn't ask too much about the Spider-Man wave, since I'm not a fan of the movies or the villains' costumes. However, the BAF is fairly obvious if you watched that 7 minute chunk of footage. It might make me consider picking the wave up, if the BAF turns out well.

I'm just wondering when pics of these waves will surface. If they're scheduled for late summer, like HML3, and HML3 pics have been out for a while, pics of these waves should be showing up very shortly.

Well if this is true then my all means blast the **** out of me for buying a 5 inch Venom....I still don't think that Hasbro would put out a series of 5 inch figures and then put out the same 6 inch figures.

That said.....if it is true...they had better ****ing tell us soon. I will be infuiriated if they release the 5 inchers without giving us confimed info about 6 inchers later down the road. That would be the Mother of All Piss Offs.

I also don't believe it because these 6 inch SM figs are due in the summer.....The movie comes out in May. That's just kinda dumb.

And if it is true....Well I'm not getting them all...I'll get me a 6 inch Sandman, Venom and New Goblin....but I am not buying another 6 inch Goblin and Ock just to get a much Monster...Oh and I'lll by MJ and prolly Black Spidey....But that be it y'all.

Well, being that my only Spidey fig currently is Iron Spidey and my the only thing F4 related is MS Doom I couldn't care less than what I do know.

HALLE****INGLEUJAH If it's true. Kirsten herself mentioned there was going to be a figure of her, as well as Topher mentioning a maskless Venom. And don't you find it odd that the list has every movie character and no other? Hobgoblin is obviously a "typo" for New Goblin. **** yeah.

I think so. This way they actually do care for the collectors, but first wanted to sell as much 5 inchers to the kiddies [and people like Rough] before releasing the 6 inch collector's line.

It makes perfect sense. Sell as much crappy ones before the movie then sell the better ones for us collector's afterwards.

And yes I know that no ones has to buy the 5 inchers at all Boo Hoo. But there are fans who think the 5 inchers are all we're gonna get. that is just plain rude of them.

Then of course there arethe folks that bought th Spider-man/Green Goblin battle pack in the 6 inch scale who are gonna go and have to buy those two exact same figures again to get the Muck Monster....It's ****ing rude. And yes I know they ike to make money but this is ****ing low of them.

Thank god I am not goingto wat the Muck Monster.

And I am reallygonna try hard not to complete it....though it'll be hard with a couple cases of these figs lying around.

Glad that the Human Torch, Doom, Silver Surfer and Thing will be based on the Icons molds, and that Namor will have his green trunks. Don't care what costumes the F4 have, as long as they match and have good headsculpts.

Not going to get the Spidey 3 figs.

I DID read the above posts but I am still unclear....first off what is a BAF line?? And where did this 'source' get his/her information from??

What are the chances of us getting some ****ing CONCRETE info about some 6 inch movie figures from Spider-Man 3? Where was the list saying that there would be a Hobgoblin figure which obviously means New Goblin..where was that list found? Post link please?

I'm not sure as for the concrete info....The F4 line is set in stone and here is what we know for sure.

The wave will consist of

Mr Fantastic
The Thing
The Human Torch
Invisible Woman
Namor
Mole man
Silver Surfer
Dr Doom

and the BAF is Ronan the Accusor

Also what do u mean BAF is Ronan the Acuser...haha I'm sorry i have no idea what that is?? Is Hasbro making a line called 'BAF' that is split up into 2 separate lines i.e.--FF and Spider-Man AND the Spidey stuff is movie based??

Or is the FF and Spidey stuff both based off the comics?? I for one am super ****ing pissed about the 5 inch B.S. that Hasbro has come out with...

...like seriously no joke, I don't want to keep harping on the subject but you've got Spider-Man, and Spider-Man 2 movie based figures that are 6 inch figures.

Spider-Man: The Movie had an amazing array of characters main and secondary that allowed you to re-enact the whole movie. Now Spider-Man 2 had 39282 Spider-Mans and 2 Doctor Octopus figures (1 that was really crappy and the other was amazing) but still they worked with the figures from the 1st movie.

...and now....now you've got small, McDonald Happy Meal toys that really suck the big bag.

However I am gonna be seriously upset and pissed if there aren't any 6-inch figures....buuut I think I'll be one of the happiest dudes around if they are infact a reality...Spider-Man 3 6 inch movie figures.....sigh......awesome.

BAF = Build-a-figure. Buy all of the figures in the line, and you get the pieces to build another figure. So, if you buy all 8 figures in the F4 BAF line, you get build a Ronan the Accuser fig. The Marvel Legends line has been doing it since series 9 with the Galactus BAF.
