i wonder if they could reboot fantastic four as part of the next X-Men movie, or would that be more a turn off, it would still be a sorta cross over gimmick?
whatever we want is meaningless as long as Kinberg writes one of those mediocre ******** scripts...
Shi'Ar, Mr. Sinister, Dark Phoenix,...they will all be equally bad...
I think New Mutants has potential if they bring back some OT cast members subbing for Xavier as head masters.

I'm not aware of any rumors. But if it's the classic New Mutants team and it takes place in the 80's, it's probably a bomb.
Seriously, people didn't care for the new mutants on the FC roster (hence killing most of them off screen sufficed). Why would they care for a roster the general audience has virtually no knowledge of?
80's and 90's films would automatically have the expectation that the core X-Men will be featured, unless the stories revolve outside of the school, which would be counter intuitive to New Mutants. I see it taking place in the present day if it happens at all.
I think another poster said it best in the other thread. We just saw the beginnings of Xavier mentoring the core X-team. Now you want to add a movie revolving around Cannonball, Wolfsbane, and the gamut? Doesn't make sense. Not a smart creative or business decision. That's the way I look at it.
If they were doing this, I think they would have added some teasers in the Quicksilver scene to highlight different potential mutants. Regardless, I don't see the potential at this time.
Besides, some New Mutants were featured in DoFP future scenes, so that's the ideal place to stick them.
Eh, New Mutants should work fine. . . provided you do two things:
1. Tell a good story about interesting characters
2. Keep the budget reasonable
It will only run into problems if you try and turn it into the Not!X-Men, dealing with yet another world-threatening affair.
World threatening affair is fine as long as they portrayed it well. Apocalypse failed on that, like it was just Magneto wrecking havoc.
