Which next sonic game should come for the 360? What would it be called? What would be characters? etc.

I'm pretty sure they should never make a Sonic game ever again.

They should make an RPG with bullet-time physics. Throw in a couple of machine guns for Sonic to lug around, too. :)

they should just make a sonic game like a faster running mario game?

When I read the topic, I thought it meant that teh next Sonic game was exclusive for 360 and I thought thats defiently no big loss

It probably WILL suck, but I'm going to buy it anyway just because I owe Sonic for Sonic 1,2,3, & Knuckles, and the comics. Sonic's right next to Spider-Man in terms of my favorite fictional characters.

Every Sonic game after the first Sonic Adventure has sucked tremendously. I think they should use the next-gen horsepower and make the best 2-D sidescrolling platformer ever.

I miss 2-D games. :(

Yeah, Sonic doesn't really seem to work as a 3D game. They always have you controlling Sonic from behind, but the whole thing is just Sonic running, so controlling from a 3rd-person view from behind is ******ed because you can't see obstacles coming as well.

I thought Sonic Adventure 2 was good. Id say every 3D Sonic game not developed for the Dreamcast has sucked

^ Yeah, it's kinda sad really. If they're gonna make a 3D Sonic game, they should just forget the platformer crap (cuz it's pretty obvious they're never gonna get THAT right), and just make it into a straight up action/adventure title, and base it off the comics or something.

as was said, it should be a 2-d side scroller, where you only have to play as sonic (although it should be like sonic 2 and sonic and knuckles where you can choose the play the exact same game with different characters and it'll play differently), and there should be no storyline, as they always come out corny as hell with Sonic...oh and no humans, except Robotnik :o

The problem with Sonic is that it's all speed-based. You can't really do the RPG thing, which is really what brought Mario a lot of his success after the original NES games, because that stuff usually requires you to slow down and think about things. A Sonic game that's slow and requires you to think would feel really weird.

Heh, there is a Sonic RPG coming out. Not for 360 though.

Huh. Maybe I'll eat my words after all. I hope so, actually. Sonic's comic story isn't so bad, and it could probably be adapted into an RPG really well.

Well, it's being done by Bioware, so that's a good sign.

For DS though.

I prefer consoles as well, but handhelds have their advantages.

Portability, mostly, which I wouldn't use because I really only get a chance to play video games at home.

I LOVED the comic story. Don't care for handhelds too much, though.

Well, I meant other things then portability. Oftentimes, there are sequels and stuff to console games like MGS and Zelda that are worth playing.

Yeah, but that makes the games worthwhile, not the console the developers decided to put them on. I'd gladly play Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories or the third God of War game if they weren't handheld-exclusive. Since they are, however, I probably never will.

It would have been really cool to make a Sonic game like Ratchet and Clank. SInce he grinds, that would fit perfectly. HE could use guns, etc and have huge bossfights a la God f War.

Ew, Sonic + guns = lame. Sonic needs no stinkin' guns. Leave that to his pale imitation Shadow.
