Which of these would be your choice for the next series?

I want a caped hero. But seriously he is such an interesting character and milieu, a psychedelic super natural crime noir mash up.

I really have to ask: why is this stuff being put here? This is the forum for Defenders, a specific miniseries composed out of specific heroes. Shouldn't discussion of future shows for which there is no evidence ( or even no plausibility ) that they'd ever be tied to Defenders, go into the generic Marvel forum?

The problem is there's a generic Marvel movie forum, but not a generic Marvel Cinematic Universe forum. I think that one works as the next best option, but this one works as the best after that for all Marvel Netflix.

Moon Knight might fit the tv best from all of those.

I would like Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider to appear in movies eventually. Same goes for Blade.

I doubt they can do a She Hulk tv show, the budget would be too much.

I don't know Power Pack, Shang Chi, or Avengers Academy.

Would not be interested in Elektra only, but I can see them giving her one.

I enjoy Elektra more than Daredevil as a character to be honest, she's much more charismatic I think.

Moon Knight IMHO has the best potential for a Netflix series because he's a borderline psychopath.

I like the way you think. I also agree with you, though Daredevil is great. The Punisher on the other hand though...

She-Hulk! One of Marvel most underrated characters.

I'd love them to do a Tomb of Dracula series. Get some mileage out of Marvel's stable of supernatural and monster characters. You could use it to introduce an MCU Blade and Moon Knight. You could get the Werewolf by Night in there. Even Man-Thing.

If they did it like the run-up to the Defenders miniseries, I'd like to see something like this....

Blade - with appearances from Hannibal King and Morbius
Moon Knight - with appearances from Werewolf-by-Night and Morbius
Hellstorm
Man-Thing

...then a "Midnight Sons" mini-series that mixes up various stories featuring the Midnight Sons or the Legion of Monsters, and also features Johnny Blaze and maybe Robbie Reyes.

:)

Whilst I'd love to see other characters get their own Netflix shows, I think for now it's likely that after...

Daredevil S01
Jessica Jones S01

Daredevil S02
Luke Cage s01

Iron Fist S01
Defenders S01
Punisher S01

...we'll get something like...

Daredevil S02
Jessica Jones S02
Heroes For Hire S01 (Luke Cage & Iron Fist, plus appearances from Jessica Jones, Misty Knight, Colleen Wing, maybe Hellcat and others)
Punisher S02

...after which I have a feeling it might all lead up to....

Defenders S02: Shadowland

;)

Have as many of these tie into a Supernatural Crossover Team-Up against Marvels Vamps, Werewolves, Zombies etc

Marvel's Daughter's of the Dragon
Marvel's Daughter of Blade
Marvel's The Master of Kung-Fu
Marvel's Moon Knight
Marvel's Bloodstone
Marvel's Werewolf By Night

Marvel canceled the Blade's daughter concept in the comics because it just didn't work.

Daughters of the Dragon and Master of Kung Fu would work better as street level series and Moon Knight honestly works better in that universe than a supernatural one.

I also don't think that anyone ever asked for Bloodstone and Werewolf By Night series.

What I do think are likely are Blade and Ghost Rider series where Ghost Rider would be set in LA and Vegas and Blade would be set in New Orleans and they'd meet up in Dallas for a Midnight Sons miniseries. Blade would eventually meet Frank Drake, Hannibal King, Abigail Van Helsing, Elsa Bloodstone, Quincy Harker and Man-Thing. Ghost Rider would encounter Werewolf by Night, Roxanne Simpson, Satana, Jennifer Kale, Hellstorm and other the Ghost Riders. Put them both on the same network where they're far away from anything else in the MCU. My first choice is El Rey with Starz as a close second since Netflix needs to be focused on street level series.

And when it comes to the music, I'd make Ghost Rider all heavy metal, particularly black and death metal and have Blade be all jazz and blues. Midnight Sons should be a 3 to 4-episode miniseries with a classic rock soundtrack that splits the difference between both shows.

Also, if Moon Knight happens, I really want where Marc lives to be different from other superheroes. I feel like with Matt and Jessica in Hell's Kitchen, Tony in Times Square, Peter in Queens, Luke in Harlem and Danny in the Financial District, Marc needs to be in Staten Island.

I'd film his home as the outside of Kreischer House but with a helipad CGIed into the courtyard and then use a warehouse for the indoor scenes since we'd only get a library and an armory. The library would be used occasionally for scenes shot in black and white where Marc is in his Mister Knight persona and breaking the fourth wall to clarify the plot since anything that can be seen on the show may just be a hallucination. Since anything you see or hear may be liable to be retconned at any time, we need scenes like that and it's also a good idea to watch with subtitles in case you miss some dialog.

the thing about adding new TV series is I feel like it slows down the process of new seasons for currently released series

At the same time I really feel like the Netflix side can selectively grow. I feel like after they all get second seasons, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones need to be folded into Luke Cage where it will be retitles Heroes For Hire since there simply won't be much more source material to draw from for Jones and Fist. Moon Knight, Elektra and Shang Chi can replace them and if ABC or Freeform won't take it, then She-Hulk can fit on Netflix as well. If they rotate every other year between seasons of Daredevil, Heroes for Hire, Punisher and Elektra one year and Moon Knight, Defenders, Shang Chi and She-Hulk the other, that's a perfect release schedule.

Honestly Id rather see all the choices head to the big screen. MCU should try making smaller scaled movies yet it would look way more expensive than these Netflix shows. Except for Academy and Power Pack as I don't want to see a live action adaptation for them.

I agree with XtremelyBaneful and psylockolussus. Netflix platform is so saturated at the moment, I think it's effecting the quality of the shows in numerous ways. I remember last year where some 3rd party site (peeltheorange or something like that) posted a rumor of upcoming Netflix shows everyone was talking about including Punisher, Deathlok, Spiderwoman, and Moon Knight.... My thoughts are still that this would be too much. I think Shoppy's got the right idea in terms of the Netflix lineup for the foreseeable future.

I'd say Power Pack from the list presented at the top of this thread but can't vote for them as I know nothing about them and it seems they'd be a property more suited for freeform anyhow. These other characters will get their due eventually perhaps but for now I think it's best to hold off with the new street level character TV shows for the moment as there's too many of them.

That being said I agree an anthology series should be next. If anything, it would switch things up a bit and provide a lot of breathing room with tight stories. I'd say FX or some premium cable channel would make a good platform for this.

Instead of a second season for Luke Cage or Iron Fist, we should get Heroes for Hire.

Blade should be the other new series.

Beyond those two, they should just focus on their existing shows. Daredevil S3, Jessica Jones S2, and Punisher S2

That list was fake. Spider-Woman can be used by Marvel but they can't use the codename and can't give her spider powers. If Sony cancels their end of the deal, then she'll lose her powers for no explanation. I also don't think that Deathlok will happen since he's far more obscure than other options.

And you aren't the target audience for Power Pack. It's kids under the age of 15 and would be a Disney Channel series.

Well, Power Pack could be a good family show like The Incredibles or something like that depending on the TV channel or platform it appears on. A lot of films are family oriented and can be marketed towards a wider demographic than something edgy and overtly adolescent with flimsy story and lots of flash. I just mentioned it as it seems best to keep the quality up for the current type of shows Netflix has without the story beats and budget getting too worn out across multiple similar shows.

Those rumored shows are just that. There could very well be ideas bounced around or in an embryonic stage somewhere.

She-Hulk and Moon Knight are honestly the only additions that should take place. The Netflix universe doesn't have room for all the supernatural shenanigans, even though it would be cool. It's possible that they could do it all in one Midnight Sons series, but that's not what people who love those characters want. So lets find somewhere else to explore vampires, zombies, hell, werewolves, AND their associated hunters, because there's not enough room on Netflix to do all of that. They couldn't even handle doing IF justice, imho.

I think Moon Knight deserves his own series. I think he'd be *better* used as a foil, much like the Punisher. He actually makes a perfect foil for Jessica Jones, and while he, like Punisher, can handle and deserves his own series, I think he'd be even more interesting, and the Netflix universe made stronger, if he was used like the Punisher.

I think She-Hulk is perfect for Netflix and while she'd be a fascinating foil for Daredevil, I think his dance card is totally full, what with Elektra coming back, Bullseye, Typhoid Mary, Echo, Kingpin coming out, and whatever else he might have going. She Hulk also has a slightly different vibe, and perhaps her comedic bent might be too much, but I think the mature matters she takes on would also be too much for another outlet. Of course, then you have to ask is Netflix ready to take on mature issues, or is it more about just being dark and dealing with the same old revenge plots, DC-style?

Merge LC and IF into a Heroes for Hire, or, if they just have to avoid that, put Cage and Jessica together.
