Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives

I haven't seen Pusher

When I say Pusher-y I also partly mean the whole trilogy, not just the first movie.

Based on his sig, I'm wonderin when someone's going to tell him that Refn and Gosling won't be making a Drive sequel. :funny:

Don't worry, Refn still wants to use the character, though but it won't a Drive sequel. At best the character may make a cameo in another Refn movie.

Maybe refn's building up for an avengers of his own, where they' all played by Ryan gosling...and Tom hardy.

I'd love to see Refn's Doctor Strange.
Him or Gaspard Noe.

New teaser is out... looks like Gosling totally gets his ass kicked...

There's also a PDF draft script online available for download... it's the second draft by Refn on this, I've read it and have very mixed opinions on it. Clearly they've changed things cuz the teaser shows scenes not even remotely in the script draft....

The ending is really well, ****ed up

I'm surprised no one wants to download and read the script... it's out there.... PM me

This is one I would prefer to go in knowing as little as possible.

Seriously love Bronson, but i am not the biggest gosling fan.

what the hell tho, right?

I should give valhalla rising a watch through shouldnt i?

Watch the Pusher trilogy instead.

Valhalla Rising was pretty damn boring.

Yeah, I love me some Refn but I hated Valhalla Rising. It felt like the world's most boring acid trip.

Valhalla has some really interesting shot-compositions and striking images, but that is also about it. Not very good and easily the weakest Refn film I've seen.

I'd still consider Bleeder his weakest film (save for Mikkelsen's sub-plot), now I'm not a huge fan of Valhalla Rising either but that's something I appreciate with it being a weird mix of Refn's delirium dreams captured on film.

Watch the Pusher trilogy instead.

Definitely, for me Refn still hasn't topped Pusher II.

Yea I think he got a little bit self indulgent with Valhalla Rising. It looked beautiful though and some of the scenes are really memorable. Mikkelson was fantastic in it.

Hey, have any of you seen the awesome trailer for The Place Beyond the Pines (also starring Gosling)? Looks really, really good.

Love your avy! Another great (to say the least) scandinavian director.

I liked Valhalla Rising, I still need to see Refn's work pre-Bronsan though
