Comedy Night Court Returns

This show was awesome in it's time. Not sure if a reboot is necessary or would tap into the same type of humour as successfully- times have changed a bit

Oh man. I used to love this show when I was a kid. Not sure if a sequel series can recapture the feel though; that was a very different era of TV.

Don't remember the show too much as I was a kid, but that opening theme song will be forever stuck in my memory.

I wonder if any other members of the original cast will show up. Most are in their late 60s/early 70s now so they might not.

Marsha Warfield hasn't done anything since 1999, not sure if she would appear.

This would be one of the last shows I expected would have a sequel. Still holding out hope for a Family Matters sequel series.

first look, I like what I see here bring it on!

I liked it though I can believe the critics when they say it will get better once they find their creative footing. Some jokes were not hitting the mark and some of the characters still need to find their direction.

Just finished the pilot and about to start Ep. 2 and so far I mostly like what I see.

The cast overall is pretty good, the only weak character for me is "Donna", it's like the writers aren't sure what to do with her. Of course I'm still picturing Marsha Warfield in that role, so that may be coloring my perception.

I'm sure the characters will grow into their roles, I still remember Dan Fielding started out as dry and humorless before evolving the sex obsessed money hungry character we all loved.

Just for fun I looked up the cast from the original show just to see who could possibly do a future cameo (Moll, Post and Warfield are still with us, although Warfield is the only one with recent roles) and saw an interesting factoid. One of the reasons Richard Moll was cast was they needed a bailiff who could tower over an already huge cast. Harry was 6' 3", Mac was 6' 3 1/2", Dan was 6' 4" and Bull was 6' 7 1/2".

I was shocked that it had such a huge premiere. Im happy for them and hopefully ratings hold.

Markie Post died in 2021.

Two more than I expected them to get with NBC.
