Bloody-Disgusting stringer Tex (Tim Anderson) writes in from the San Diego Comic Con with some incredible and exciting news. Arriving on DVD this October from Sony Home Entertainment is Fred Dekker's Night of the Creeps, the classic 80's film that follows a college couple, in 1959, see an object plummet to Earth like a meteor. The boy accidentally swallows a space-slug that shoots out. In 1986, two freshmen roam the campus and stumble across the corpse of the boy who swallowed the space-slug. Once thawed out, the corpse comes to life. While it's already huge news that we're finally getting a DVD release of the film, Tex just finished chatting with Dekker at the San Diego Comic Con who breaks the news exclusively to B-D that "If the DVD sells really well, they are considering a sequel." Straight from the horses mouth. Now go by the effin DVD and let's get a sequel. Oh - and Dekker did mention something about a "Blu-ray" release. Holy crap, I'm gonna cry of happiness.

I remember seeing this movie a long time ago, on cable at late at night.

The movie Slither was kinda like this movie.

I grew up watching this film which they aired a lot on TV. All I have to say is if they do a sequel it better have Tom Atkins in it, he made the original badass. Was cool to see him in the remake of My Bloody Valentine this year as well.

For those who don't know who I'm referring to he also had a small part in the original Creepshow as the dad who throws his sons Creepshow comic away. As far as classic 80's horror goes, I remember him in a lot of films.

I liked the zombies better in Night Of The Creeps compared to all the zombies acting the same in Slither.

The blond Alien Slug-Zombie guy sitting next to his girlfriend spitting out the slugs was so much better than most of the "man worm" joked in Slither.

Man this sounds cool. I really like "Night of the Creeps" so a sequel would garner my interest. It managed to walk the balance of action and comedy without sacrificing either. I DVRed Slither, but I've still yet to see it.

SLiTHER borrowed from Shivers, not NOTC. ;)

And yes, I love this movie. Its funny as ****, and the cop was hilarious.
