Nightcrawler absence, here's why

does the games plot stand alone as a good entry into the x franchise cuz zak penn is saying that this game cud be considered like another entry into the x-film franchise cept its a video game.

also how fun is the game do u really feel wolverines ferocity like in the x mansion scene from x2 for example ?and with nightcrawler do u really feel like ur owning everyone with style like the white house scene from x2?

I just want to know what kind of reason people were expecting with this? I was not expecting anything more than this when I first heard about this part being in the game. Not sure what everyone wanted him to say. As someome mentioned above, from the movie, he was never a definite part of the team, so with that, no reason really needed to be given at all.

Yeah, but in the game he was a part of the team. And he is in uniform too.

And the story of the game was written by Zak Penn... so, it's kinda official that he joined the team.

The plot was all about Sentinels and Master Mold... but if the game was a movie, it would be an awesome movie (fx speaking) And Cyclops fans will be still disappointed lol

The berseker mode in Wolverine levels isn't that great. You move a lot faster and you cant be knocked down. At least he got his "signature" move from X2 (jump straigth to a enemy and impale the claws into his chest)
And nightcrawler... yeah, especially when you're surrounded by a lots of enemies (think Multiple Man) you can teleport all the time and do great combos.

The real reason he left:

Fox wrote him out of the movie and didn't want to pay for Nightcrawler.

Kind of like how they wrote Cyclops out of the Phoenix story.

Something tells me it might have more to do with the fact that Alan pissed and moaned to no end about the makeup process and neither Fox nor him wanted to put up with each other for another movie.

But way to infect a completely unrelated thread with this Cyclops/Phoenix whining..

Ok... I've finished the "official" game today (it was REALLY short) and the game explains what happens with Nightcrawler and why he isn't in X-Men 3.

I actually like that Nightcrawler leaves like that. Fighting with the X-Men isn't who he is. He's a pacifist, not a soldier.

Not really an explanation, one can assume. They fight against sentinels in the game, so they're training in the DR with sentinels just in case if they come back.

btw, the only ones who fought sentinels in the game were Iceman and Nightcrawler.
