No comics the last wek of December?

Howdy! My guy said that there would be no books for next week and seeing as how Diamond hasn't even posted a list, it looks like we're crap out of luck. I am so bummed.

yeah, that sucks for all you guys. I get my comics shipped to me once a month, so no biggie for me. I'm used to it.

I look forward to my weekly fix. Plus our Diamond order books didn't come today so I may not even get my Previews book until January. Double suckage.

I'm completely ok with it cause it usually f***s things up at a lot of comic shops. But I guess some comic shops are getting Blackest Night #6 on the 30th though.

I think the comic companies pretty much just shipped all of their stuff early; so, I believe we got all of our December comics. I, for one, am glad. After all the cash I just spent on Christmas, I could do without another $200.00 comic week!

I'm actually quite happy with the week off. I'll be visiting family for that week anyway, and I always prefer to go to my usual shop because the owner's a nice guy and, given that comic shops have been closing down left and right for years everywhere, I like to think I'm doing my part to help him out.

Diamond has posted a list for books out on December 30th... I think it has 2 or 3 comics...

Blackest Night #6 and maybe a Fall of the Hulks book...

Really? Because when I went to the their site earlier today I couldn't find any list for next week. Maybe I was just looking in the wrong place....?

EDIT: Yeah, found it but it is only two items -- Blackest Night #6 like you said and Fall of the Hulks Alpha.

I am a creature of habit. I don't like disruptions. Every wednesday is like a mini Christmas. I've had weeks where I've only gotten 1 or 2 books, but never one where I didn't get any. It's ruining my chi.

There is suppose to be a special New Years Marvel Midnight giveaway. My shop had promo cards for it a few weeks back..and, once I asked them about it, they threw 'em away. (They aren't coming in at midnight, and know nothing about it. I guess I'd have to go to Tacoma to get the special giveaway book.)


BTW, if you want to pick up books next week...just leave a few comics in your box...or, pick up a recommended title that someone in the bought/thought has said is real good, and give it a try...or, grab a trade! (I Kill Giants, if you want something a little different.)

Yeah, my shop owner said the two comics for next week are some kind of promotional thing. He assured me that he'd most likely have some copies of Blackest Night left over for the week after, though. He actually had the comics in the shop when I went yesterday but couldn't sell them yet.

I'll second that I Kill Giants recommendation, too. I actually have it packed in my suitcase to read for a third time over my vacation next week, along with Local and Lucifer vol. 1.

You don't need the Diamond monopoly to supply your comic fix! Check your favorite shop for local talent. And if you're from the Boston area, may I recommend the ridiculously fast-selling anthology Inbound 4: A Comic Book History of Boston. (I have 2 stories in it!)
