No Way Home No Way Home Rumors, Leaks And Speculation Thread (Potential Spoilers Ahead)

It's honestly a dream to have this happen, there's nobody else you should have representing Peter in court in a movie other than Matt. It just goes together. I hope by some miracle we get a street level Spidey/Daredevil movie as they take on the Kingpin and supervillains working for the crime bosses.

Aside from the live action Spider-Verse stuff, Spidey/DD teamup was always the next highest thing on the list I'd see fans asking for online always. Maybe this is their way of appeasing everybody since we aren't 100% sure if there'll be more in the MCU at this moment, or maybe it's the tip of the hat to maybe something more another time if they get the chance.

Charlie Cox was great as Daredevil. There's literally no downside to him returning.

Except, you know, "soft-R show that doesn't fit with the established MCU tone" and "none of the normies watched it or care". Pretty big obstacles. I really dug the Daredevil show for the most part (Affleck's suit was way better though, leather material choice aside), but like...yeah. Bridging the gap in tone here seems like a needless headache. Just reboot with another actor 10 years down the line once you've got all your lame aliens-and-multiverse shenanigans out of your system and decide to scale way down for a change of pace. As they inevitably will once the cosmic well's run dry.

I mean, from what we're hearing about Kingpin, they're are treating it as a soft reboot anyway. You might be overthinking how big of an issue it is. Besides timeline wise, it's gonna be 5+ years since season 3 of Daredevil. Enough time for a new status quo.

Matt supposedly being in this seems so hamfisted, really don't know why they'd even do it. How many casuals even watched the Netflix stuff anyway? And I doubt they have any major plans for Murdock in the MCU going forward, we're not gonna see some Daredevil movie or Disney+ show anytime soon.

Can I have that crystal ball you seem to have? Since you seem to know the future and everything

No offense, but your post is silly. Punisher, Wolverine, Kingpin, and Deadpool have switched from being in R-rated Marvel comics to being in more family friendly PG-13 comics with no problem. Many of the people watching this movie(especially children who make up a large chunk of the audience) wouldn’t even have ever seen the DD show, let alone even know what a Daredevil even is. So this movie will be many’s first introduction to Cox’s DD. Also even though Cox is apparently coming back, this version he’s playing in this film already seems to be a soft reboot that won’t really have the Netflix series as canon. Audiences watching this film aren’t going to be bothered by Cox playing DD in this film as nearly as you seem to be.

Well, yeah. And Deadpool's not going to be hanging with hookers and saying **** every three seconds in a movie made by Disney either.

Regardless of whether you think it is a good idea or not, it appears to be the idea they are going with. So Feige obviously has interest in those actors in those roles. Feige is in the end the person who matters. Not me, not you, not any other single person.

So I guess just kind of have to deal with it

*Shrugs* I mean, obviously. If he does it, he does it.

All seems basically rumor on the Cox stuff for now anyway. If it happens, it can work, and it's obviously more likely now post-multiverse stuff than it was six months ago. Does seem a little pointless trying to put Spidey all buddy-buddy with other local neighborhood people now of all times, though, unless the notion's that Strange's spell is going to cause some "soft-reboot" of sorts.

Yeah I do think the daredevil stuff sounds fan-servicey, but I never cared for any of the Netflix shows so who am I to judge lol. He’s not going to take up much of the story or plot anyway, so it’s harmless.

Well it's happening now because Marvel Studios couldn't before. Despite getting the rights back for characters like Dardevil and Punisher, Marvel Entertainment blocked Marvel Studios from using the characters and wanted to use them for TV. Then after Netflix cancelled all those shows, Marvel Studios had to wait 2 years before they could even start using them (2020 for Daredevil). So that's why we're now seeing these charcters potentially popping back up.

There's a 4 second leak of the trailer floating around...

guy throws green paint on Tom's Spidey.

Not very exciting, bit it's definitely from a trailer.

From what I've learned, it's from an unused alternate cut of the first trailer. They weren't even going to have the Ock reveal in this one, just the "hello Peter" line on a black screen apparently.

What's the main rumor regaring Dafoe's Goblin? That there's more than one of him?

These new shots should hold us over until the release of the actual first trailer lol

Though, that highway sequence seems more and more bonkers the more we know about it.

There's somebody on the MarvelStudiosSpoilers subreddit that is describing the Tobey/Andrew Spidey suits (they look pretty much exactly the same) and the Green Goblin suit. The mods say they're legit, they have photos of the suits but aren't sharing out of respecting the source's wishes. It's pretty wild imagining that there's probably clear leaked Tobey photos out there that are being held onto somewhere haha.

The Green Goblin suit description makes me think they're taking into account where we last saw him as it sounds like it's patched up in places with some more wirey/techy bits showing (maybe hinting towards some of what they were originally thinking about in the concept phase on SM1), yellow bits on the legs, the tan shoulder strap, belt, and bag for bombs, little bit of purple wrapped around an arm, and the purple hood draped over his shoulders.

The most interesting thing they mention is that he seems to not have the mask as they mention that day it was just Dafoe with black goggles on. I hope he gets a mask of some sort for the final battle or something, maybe even just painting Dafoe's face green for going into battle would do the trick lol IDK. Or who knows, maybe they're gonna pull out the animatronic classic Goblin mask to go with it somehow. I can't see Marvel Studios going ham on the Goblin bodysuit giving it more classical touches and not doing any mask at any point.

Havent seen that report, other than there may be an original MCU Goblin (not played by Dafoe) that he kills and supplants in this universe.

Verified TFTMQ - Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland, and Willem Dafoe Costume Descriptions

Happy Halloween (almost), what a perfect day to get costume descriptions sent to us.

We were given descriptions of the full costumes worn by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Willem Dafoe.

• Tobey's costume is basically the same as it was in the original trilogy. We were able to see it being worn, as well as hanging next to Tom and Andrew's suits. The colors look a bit more vibrant, but it could just be the lighting.

• Andrew's costume is basically the same as it was in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. We were only able to see it hanging next to the other suits, but we can confirm it matches the costume in the leaked video of Andrew.

• Green Goblin's costume is the Raimi suit with an updated design. It's somewhat damaged and patchy, and a few minor adjustments have been made. It includes addons like a comic accurate tan colored shoulder strap and belt (with a bomb bag), some gold colored accessories on his legs, and some scattered purple accessories like a cloth wrapped around his arm. Metallic exoskeleton looking parts fill in some of the damaged parts, and the thighs. The costume is still almost entirely green. It's still very clearly the Raimi suit from 2002, just with addons. No mask is being worn in the image, just black goggles (like Doc Ock's in Spider-Man 2). We also know he'll have a purple scarf/hood at some point thanks to previous leaks.

Also shared with us were descriptions of an early version of Tom's black and gold suit with bits of red in it. It was a physical suit, and there's a cell phone duct taped to the chest for some reason.

That's all for now. We can't share images, but we wanted you guys to have something. There could be more from this coming soon, and we have an entirely different set of leaks for other projects coming shortly.

Yeah, I genuinely hope he gets some sort of mask because him just having goggles is underwhelming to me.

I'm gonna guess that if goggles were shown in the image. Then that's gonna be his look.

I guess someone said Hey why are we hiding William Defoe behind a Helmet or mask?

Something like this old SM1 concept art wouldn't have been bad though. As long as he keeps the hood on him I guess I'm okay with it.

Now I'm hearing that he apparently gets a mask for the climax? Not sure how reliable that is.

The mock-ups I've seen for the suit so far have been pretty sweet. It just needs something more than the goggles to complete it.
