The Dark Knight Nolan: "Running time comparable to the first film's 140 minutes"

supposedly the directors cut clocked at 2.5, and very few changes were going to be made.

i'm hoping around 2 hrs and 10-20s minutes so we get as much Joker/Two-Face/Batman action as possible!

Indeed. Nolan seems like the kinda director that wouldn't have much excess to chop. I don't recall any deleted scenes that are common knowledge from Begins.

Nolan said the runtime will be along the line of Batman Begins's. Like 140 minutes.

My Spider-senses tell me it will be clocking in at around 2 hrs 20 minutes. :spidey:

I hope it will be 140-150 minutes (without end credits). I LOVE long movies, of course when they're good :word:

Nolan said in an interview awhile back it would be around the same runtime of Begins. So it'll probably be that give or take a few minutes longer.

I wonder how much screentime the Joker will have ? Not that it really matters anyway, Hannibal with 16 minutes of screentime in Silence sure made an impression:woot:.

The two pictures are almost identical, IMO -- bar the Joker's hands. Hannibal Lector being kept in a secluded cage is obviously a noteworthy inspiration for Heath's Joker...

Good point. I love that we can see references from Alex to Hannibal in this new Joker.

I don't remember how long "Batman Begins" ran. So no one is going to guess 16 hours? Due to wishful thinking. ;)

Seriously I want it to be good. Whether it's 2 hours or 2 hours 20-45 minutes (with or without ads).

The current cut is 2:30 hours long! Nolan said so in the interview in the thread about WB going nuts over just how good TDK is. So, I bet we can be sure that it's just around that mark when the finished product is complete.

2:20 without credits is probably what we'll get

The chances of getting that close up with blured out bars in the foreground are pretty high though. Directors just naturally gravitate to it.:word:

By the way, 2 hours and 30 minutes.
