Situation, an outsider comes and acts like they are “the bomb”... and they have no clue what they are doing.

examples:

I was working, and we have regulars who come and skate, then some new folks will come and try to wow us all with their $45 blades they got at Sports Authority.

Made me want to say: Just because you got your blades at Sports AUTHORITY, does not mean you can authorize yourself to act like a foo'.

Or, the hype community:

We have folks from the other sub forums, and they come to the community. The atmosphere in the sub forums differ from the community in several ways. Such as, it does not impress us how many trendy threads you make. You do not just make threads in the community for no reason. Maybe you have good ideas for your sub forum, but the community itself is much different. Such as, silent rules that just everyone “knows” about?

Like the rules of dating or friendship? You don’t teach people, everyone just knows from experience of growing up…

Meh, discuss.

well...people aren't really taking this seriously because of the elitism scent that your post (most likely unintentionally) puts off. There is forum etiquette, there are posted forum rules, and then there are forum snobs who like to deem what is correct for others to post or not post. from what I've seen of you...you don't fall into that category. BUT when you start calling people who don't often post in the community 'outsiders' and start speaking of unwritten rules and such...it makes an 'outsider' think you might be.

I know you feel this is your section of the hype...and yes, there ARE regulars here...but how seriously can you really take it when outsiders/noobs/trolls come along and spew their opinion all over our beloved community?

answer? I wouldn't take it too seriously at all.
