Norman Osborn is BACK!!!

im quite thrilled hes back as Norman. He's the 4th Villian!!!! I'm joking....only slightly.

A. It's not Norman Osborn, it's Harry's hallucination of him.
B. After it happened in Spidey 2, is there anyone who didn't expect it in 3 as well?

Personally, I wasn't sure. On the S-M2 DVD it was explained that Dafoe's involvement was something that came about by coincidence (Dafoe actually stumbled upon the film shooting when he was walking home from something if I remember correctly)... that in combination with reports that said he had not been contacted for S-M3 made me unsure.
Not surprised that he's in there though, just relieved.

Just thinking wouldn't it be a cool ending to let the symboite live and eddie live at the end to leave them for 4 & then to find out Norman is still alive after Harrys Death at the end and then in 4 have Norman as Goblin back and Eddie Venom & maybe one more villian they have built up for in the mix.

What we have to remember is that he "died" the same way in the comics, but actually avoided death. I'm not sure if you saw his funeral, though  . If you did, then he should live in Europe ready for SM4, but even more of a nutcase.
If not, his hands should punch from under his grave in SM4. Somehow, unrotted even though he's been "dead" for years.

they did show the funeral but one thing they failed to show was osborns body in the casket which could if there is a 4th be one thing we find out at the start of it which would be a great twist to everything

Agreed. Besides, it's in the comics. So we all pretty much knew we'd see Norman Osborn. Although the exciting part is that he'll be in the entire movie instead of just 2 minutes. I guess that could be the exciting part.

Sorry guys, I never knew about there being another thread. Lets switch it up a bit and write what you think of Harry's hallucination known as the original Green Goblin back for this film.

i like the fact that they made harry hillucinate and see his father in the mirror, its very cool, harry has gotten so twisted that he starting to see his father in the mirror again and im guessing his father tells him to use the gas chamber then go after peter.

DEFOE!!! *runs round room like a crazy man* YES!! so cool, i was sure they werent going to involve him, but this is great, and harry in the gas chamber had my jaw on the floor. god, that was excellent

he is back. i am very excited. i knew he would be back but now there is absolutely no doubt. :D spider-man 3 is going to be amazing.

I just think Harry uses Dafoe as his 'reflection' bad persona as a means of his own personal dealings with his own goblin character.

true, he hadn't taken any goblin formula in the first film but the goblin is just what is already buried deep inside, the stronger part of one's character, so it could have easily found an outlet via harry's drinking.

osborn is still in the grave unfortunately...

I actually think this movie story is continuing more on the orginal movie story instead of the second movie story. Think about it, this movie is answering all the questions from the 1st movie Peter/Spider-man/Ben/Sandman and the fact that Norman Osborn or as you can say Harry's hallucination is going to end in this movie. It's all going back to the orginal. Do you think?

Where else do you expect them to go. Everything from the second film was already resolved.

I am glad Willem is back...he was a great character and this will further drive Harry's story...great news.

It was more or less a given that he would be in this movie. He has to be to torment Harry to make him do the things he does.
