I don't think its fare to compare a novel to a movie. They're 2 different works of art and each must stand on it's own. If the movie is good i'll like it if its bad i'll hate it. My feeling about the graphic novel changed after each time i read it. At first i loved it but in time i grew less enchanted with it. Now i'm ambivilant.
By the way, the need to see each work of art on it's own is the reason i hated 2001. Everyone tells me the reason it was no good is because you have to have read the book. Well, if thats the case the film didn't stand on it's own and so it sucked out loud and the slurping noises were the only thing that kept me awake.

Regardless, you obviously didn't look very hard. The thread titles aren't all going to spell out exactly what you're looking for, so you really have to bone up and do some digging to find it.

well that was a lovely remark...this didnt need a thread because the trailer came out a while back and it was obvious it was switched from Crimebusters to Watchmen
searching "Watchmen Crimebusters" I found a couple threads where they discuss or ask about the switch...so you could have either added to those...or asked in a different thread...but hey...making a new thread is fine too...because it hasnt been deleted yet...cant promise it wont in the future but its all good...

I have read the first 6 chapters and frankly I don't mind...
Metropolis didn't seem like the type who could properly organize a group...
Hell even Ozy in the comic suggests that Metropolis is not up to the job ...

This could be a way of Snyder making Ozy's character more important...

Really, I just feel that with the number of potential flaws this film could have (bad acting, overuse of slow-mo, doubts I personally have over Synder's ability), changing the name from Crimebusters to Watchmen is the least of my concerns...

This is a change from the GN that I agree with, because Crime Busters sound pretty lame. Watchmen is a vast improvement, and it is also relevant to the movie's title.

It's a neutral change at most. The name of the team doesn't matter, they could call them the "Chazwozzlers" for all I care.
