Nothing New

I just watched the trailer and it looks like it's just more of the same with nothing new being explored. Big monsters, weird creatures... How does this differ from the first movie? Kinda disappointed in what I've seen so far.

You know, Hollywood doesn't make trailers around dramatic dialogue where the characters learn a little about themselves and a lot about love.
