Warner Bros. to Battle Odysseus
Studio picks up sword, steps into sandals.
by Christopher Monfette
April 24, 2009 - According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is returning to the world swords-and-sandals by picking up a spec script by Ann Peacock called Odysseus. With Troy and 300 already behind them and a remake of Clash of the Titans on the roster, we're seeing a pattern here!

Odysseus, which is described as "300 meets Taken," is the story of the king of Ithaca who, upon returning from the Trojan Wars, finds his home under the control of enemy forces. Much bloodshed ensues…

Jonathan Liebesman is attached to direct. Peakcock last wrote the adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia

I love the hell out of Greek Mythology so this has my interest.

This movie will be totally badass if they keep to the original story. I'm very much intrigued by this.

I hope they recast Sean Bean as Odysseus from Troy, he was one of the best parts!

He was one of the better parts of Troy, to bad he had such a small role.

I watched a crappy version of this story movie in school once, it sucked. But I'm looking forward to Clash of the Titans.

Yep! They better bring Sean Bean back!

Btw, wasn't this going to be a sci-fi awhile a back?

looking forward to this. reminds me of the sci-fi original movie

"300 meets Taken," ?!?!?!

that much awesomeness cannot be put on screen! =O

Sounds good. I read the book last year and it was great. This should be interesting.
