That is an awesome trailer.

I think that might have been [blackout]The Wind Fish.[/blackout]

I'm really excited to see this new villain. He/she looks like they'll be a phenomenal villain and a huge threat throughout the game.

This is just great, let the great timeline debate commence once more :argh:

"All of the games are within one timeline for the entire series, but that timeline is a secret that I cannot reveal," Aonuma told GTTV at the recent Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary concert.

this game looks incredible

Look like MW3 will have to take a seat for now

I doubt it's him. He looks very differently. I still hope he is included in the game. Hope to get more background info/story about him.

Have pre-ordered the game some time ago. Can't wait to play it, but I have a feeling my moving out will prevent me from playing it 'till I'm finally settled (which is around February/March).

Want to watch Link [BLACKOUT]poop[/BLACKOUT]?

That's it... Mario better be pooping in the next Mario game!

When I saw it again, it's definitely not him. He has a giant eye ball on him that screams "I'm a boss and this is my weakpoint."

Here's an overview trailer. What I really like is there seems to be only a handful of items but all can be upgraded. Whereas in Twilight Princess there was a new item for every dungeon and the later ones you rarely used except in the dungeon and to get some heart pieces. I didn't mind that in TP but this is a nice change of pace.

The more I see on this game, the more I'm thinking I should open Skyward Sword before Skyrim.

I think your overview trailer display a fight on the (let's call it for now: ) wind fish at position 2:27

Perhaps you have to free the wind fish from some boss? The end of the trailer shows you flying after him.

Game Informer isn't allowed to post the full review yet, but here's an excerpt from it. The reviewer gave it a 10/10

http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/...our-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword-review.aspx

Skyward Sword’s combat and puzzle-solving rise above the majority of Wii releases (and even most recent Zelda games) thanks to the clever and challenging implementation of motion controls. Most Zelda titles have simplistic combat where mashing a single button turns into a frenzy of flourish-filled combos. Skyward Sword demands a much higher level of patience and mastery. The direction you swing the Wii remote directly correlates to the angle the sword slices in-game, and enemies are smart and fast enough to block incoming attacks.

I had concerns that carefully plotting my attacks for every swing would get boring or frustrating, but the opposite was true. I’ve never felt as engaged or interested in the combat portion of a Zelda game as with Skyward Sword. If you run into a group of enemies waggling the Wii remote like a madman, you will be torn to shreds. Success in swordplay depends on studying opponents’ moves and attacking at the right time and from the right angle. When the correct method to defeat each foe finally clicked, I felt a sense of satisfaction that repeatedly tapping the A button never provided.

This impressive combat system leads to some of the most interesting boss battles in the series’ history. Whether you’re fighting a giant scorpion or a sword-swinging robot, Skyward Sword rarely falls back on the formula of using a tool to knock out the boss and then attacking it three times in a row. You need to be much smarter and much more persistent to best these bad guys. In fact, the last two boss encounters are the most difficult fights in any Zelda game thus far.

Is every big game from Arkham City to Skyward Sword going to get a 10/10?

Actually only Arkham City and Zelda have gotten the 10s this fall so far from Game Informer so no not every big game is getting a 10/10. Edge magazine accidentally broke the review embargo and also gave the game a 10/10

Eiji Aonuma has confirmed that another Zelda title is in the works for the Nintendo 3DS. It will be more along the lines of Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword in style as opposed to the more toonish style of the Wind Waker, the Four Swords saga, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks.

They are also considering remaking Majora's Mask for the 3DS, but that will happen after the original title is made.

I'm happy they're thinking about giving some love to Majora's Mask, but I really hope that someday in a future Zelda game the mask returns as a villain. Or maybe even Majora himself.

While I'm happy for a new Zelda adventure, I kind of wish they would remake Majora's Mask first. I've replayed OOT mutiple times, but Majora's Mask doesn't really get as much attention.

I hope that Zelda isn't just considered to have two styles of graphics, realistic and cartoonish. I appreciate the fact that SS is supposed to be a mix. I think the series should have a variety of art styles so I think it would be cool if this new 3DS game would have a totally different art style from what we have seen so far.

I don't look forward to a Majora's Mask remake. If they make it, it means I will have to buy it. And if I buy it, I will play it and have to get every heart piece which means spending several hours trying to get that one piece at the very end where you have to be Goron Link and travel flawlessly on that narrow, winding track.

I'd rather have an original game before another remake. I don't have any interests in remakes. If I want to play Star Fox 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario 64, guess what? I'll pop out my Wii and play those games. And I'm a sucker for those blocky graphics over the more polished ones that the remakes have.

Remakes should only go to games that have aged horribly like Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil, not games that have held the test of time like Final Fantasy VII and Legend of Zelda.

More often than not remakes are farmed out to smaller developers and don't interfere with the creation of new games. So why can't there be original games and remakes?
