Hey everyone! Played Hyrule Warriors yesterday, and will play more tonight, and let me tell you...this game is fun! It's definitely true to the Zelda style of storytelling, and the gameplay is a blast. Repetitive? A little, but it gives you a lot of options so that it's not so repetitive. And i'm only a few hours in. Imagine what it'll be like near the end!

So yeah, so far so good! I'm really hoping to get Midna by the end of the night!

Can you elaborate on what options you're referring to? A little repetitive is not what I would call the Warriors games I've played.

Well I'll admit, I'm very new to this Warrior style gameplay. But in what I've played, many of my characters have different weapons they can use (Link has a sword and the Fire Rod at the moment. Lana has her spellbook and a spear, etc.) and it drastically affects how they play.

Also, how they upgrade affects their moveset, so you don't have to use the same two moves over and over again. You can change it up. Unless you want to of course. Your call.

Again, I'm not done yet, and I know my perspective is limited in regards to the Warriors series. But I think that honestly gives me the best chance of enjoying this game. And I am! I just got Midna last night and I can't wait to use her in battle! Yay Midna!

Same here, absolutely cannot wait for 2015 to get here, the game looks friggin gorgeous.

Zelda is my favorite video game franchise and it is not even close. These are the reason.

1. Not the kind of game you can beat in like 5 hours Zelda games are long and hard but they have gotten easier but still I would say there is not one easy Zelda game yet.

2. Great storys

3. The music is just amazing in everyone of them.

4. While there are some Zelda games I like more then others I don't think there is even a close to bad Zelda game yet they are all just about classics.

I haven't played much of majora's mask I felt like the game was to hard haven't even gotten to the first level lol. I have ages and season but haven't gotten to far yet. I tend to like the console ones a lot more then handheld ones. I don't have phantom hour glass and sprit tracks I have ever other Zelda game. I just bough minish cap off the wii u shop not to long ago I think I beat the first dungeon so far and am trying to get to the second one know. I have beat twilight prices, link to the past, skyward sword, wind waker, links awaking and I am pretty far on ocarina of time. I think I am on the 3erd to last dungeon and I am far on link between worlds I think I am on the second to last dungeon.

I think ocirna of time and major's mask are the top 2 Zelda games to a lot of people but there are a lot of different opinues to what the top 5 Zelda games are witch I think just shows how good the Zelda franchise truly is.

Ocarina of time is my favorite. It has the best soundtrack, music and story of any of the Zelda games to me. Twilight princess a close second. Wind waker I think has a great soundtrack to but I prefer the more realistic art style Zelda games but at the same time it was different so I have to give Nintendo so pops for that. Skyward sword at 1 point I thought would be my 3erd favorite instead of 4th but the story wasn't has good has some of the other games to me and the boss fights where to respective. You fight one of them like 4 times and other one like 3 times. link to the past was the first Zelda game I owned so it has a special places in my art and I think the hyrule castle theme and dark world theme are no of the most catching Zelda songs.

I love the way the game just throws you into the action and trusts the player to figure out what the correct course of action is on their own, I love how the sidequests are just as much the meat of the game as the main quest, and how the games three day cycle makes the games world feel alive in a way that's impressive even by todays standards. I love the games story which really comes to life through sidequests, I love being able to replay bosses and dungeons without starting a new file, and that it's the only Zelda game to really challenge me. I could go on and on about how brilliant I think MM is, it's probably my favorite game ever made, up there with Banjo Tooie and Paper Mario:TTYD.

So, they actually play differently? That's a big change. All the Warriors games I've played have characters with different weapons, but they all play more or less the same.

Nope! It's totally different gameplay depending on what weapon you choose.

Two great examples are Link and Lana.

Link (at my current point in the game) has a sword and the Fire Rod. The sword plays just how you think it would. Slash, strike, spin, be epic Link, etc. repeat.

The Fire Rod though is much more distance based. Press the right combo and you can turn it into a five-pronged fire bellow that you can direct to roast your enemies. It's awesome!

Lana on the other hand starts off with a magic book. She uses Lightning and barriers to attack her opponents.

Later on she gets a very special spear, and it totally changes her style. She much more up close and personal, but it's not like Link's sword though. She can shapeshift the spear to be other weapons, like a hilarious slingshot!

So yeah, it's fun, and diverse. And the more upgrades you get, the more powers and combos you unlock. I'm finally going to play as Midna in the next mission, I can't wait!

yes I saw that both on the live Joystiq stream & test chamber video's I put at the top hereas well. They state the same thing about the character having their very own unique / distinct move sets unlike the DW games the person at the joystique met something I stated both here and siliconera about the difficulty setting which show cased about the usual come plait about the dw games why your opponents all ways look like they are standing around the unlocked herd difficulty they are more aggressive and come at you ad he asked why can't you be able to select that from the start. sound like your on the right track can't wait to read the full version.
