They'll probably reuse the Loftwings in some shape or form... Actually I believe that this is some kind of post-apocalyptic future where some of the more traditional Zelda creatures may not make an appearance.

As long as my favorite race who live at Death Mountain are still around and still love sumo wrestling, I will be ok.

Hope the overworld has lots of characters and not just enemies and the post man.

If they can survive Death Mountain, then I think the Gorons can live through some whatever destroyed the Kingdom of Hyrule...

The Gorons should be fun with the physics they are using.

E3 2016: Zelda: Breath of the Wild Wins E3

For those that don’t know, the man pictured in the newspaper above is none other than Zelda Series Producer, Eiji Aonuma. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has taken the top spot as the most mentioned game on social media out of all the games at this year’s E3 (according to stats on NintendoInquirer). It is great to see a Wii U game shining so well, but Nintendo will need to step beyond the Wii U to really succeed in the future. Can The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildhelp carry the Nintendo NX to a successful launch and beyond? If any franchise can, it would be Zelda.
Though Nintendo’s new Zelda game may have the most attention on social media of any game out of E3 2016, if you look at the stats for the various conferences you see that Microsoft’s conference won on social media.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has earned an impressive amount of engagement and attention from gamers. Not surprisingly, it also dwarfed mentions of any other game Nintendo showed this year. Delaying the game again to launch simultaneously on both the Wii U and the NX may have been a wise move on Nintendo’s part. The Wii U didn’t have the best launch line up, and as far as launch lineups go, it doesn’t get much better than having a Zelda game in there if you are Nintendo.
I’m a Zelda nut myself, so I’m very much looking forward to this game. Sadly, we still have a long while to wait, but as always the wait will be more than worth it when the game finally comes out. I think that there is no doubt that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will easily be the best Zelda game to date. It also is the most delayed game in the series, since it has been delayed for a year twice now (beating out Twilight Princess which had one major delay). We’ll have to wait and see how things go with the NX launch next year, and how much Zelda boosts the console’s sales.

So the official villain of the game according to the demo is [blackout]Ganon... or "Calamity" Ganon who is the swirling red smoke that we see in the trailer[/blackout].

C'mon, is that really considered a spoiler? Oh no, Ganon is the villain. I'm shocked.

Considering they removed NPCs (there were a few obvious spots for them) and possibly even villages from the demo for story reasons, I doubt what they left in will tell much of the story.

That was pretty nice of them to remove all those story elements from the demo.

Yeah, the reveals over the long months will help make the wait easier. Somewhat.

I was trying to not disappoint the Zelda fans who were hoping for a new incarnation of Demise. :p

The folks at Monolith are going to be helping with the creation of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The developers of the Xenoblade series had previously assisted with the development of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, so it should not be that big of a surprise. Monolith will provide more than 100 employees to help with building the large, open world.
So what do you guys think about this? With what they’ve done with the Xenobladegames, do you think the new Legend of Zelda‘s open world will benefit from their output? In case you’re late to the party you can take a look at the trailer, and some of our thoughts about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

This looks absolutely breathtaking no pun intended.

Do we have any indication as to its release date?

Guessing Mar 2017, since that will be when the NX launches and this is a launch title for that.

A better look of what the actual beginning will likely look like. Potential spoilers.

I am actually beginning to rethink which Link this is. I think this may be the Link from the original NES games.

I don't think so. It seems to me that it is in the Era of Decline, which is the Hero of Time failed timeline. I'm thinking post Zelda II. But, we still have a lot more to be revealed.

Ive also herd that Zelda isn't coming out till march next year this is going to be a long wait

The Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild made a huge splash at E3, and fans are excited to find out what Link’s adventures will consist of this time around.

In a report by IGN, it looks as though details about Link’s adventure have been revealed. Breath of The Wild is going to be a much bigger game than previous installments, and creators had a challenge in expanding on the overall size of the world that Link would be exploring. IGN spoke to series producer Eiji Aonuma about the project, and he expressed his thoughts on making this Legend of Zelda game bigger than what they were used to.
