anyways, I really hope we'll be able to choose between English and Japanese voice in the game.

I finally watched the English trailer, and Zelda's English voice was.......off. Hope they change that, cuz I much prefer her voice in the Japanese trailer.

Hearing voice acting in a Zelda game kinda weirded me out, I'll probably stick with the Japanese audio as well if I can, mostly so that I still have to read the dialogue, and I did think the Japanese voices sounded better.

For this interested here's the Wii U BotW compared to the Switch:

you can tell a difference.

the Switch looks to have richer colors, better textures, and a bit finer details.

Richer colors? The water lost all the color. Link also seemed to change colors.

in the opening comparison, the Wii U version looks "lighter" both in Link's skin tone and the water color.

in the Switch version, Link's skin has a darker hue to it as does the blue water.

Yeah, I say in the other thread, but the Wii U version is too bright, and it leads to a fuzzy and washed out look. Kind of looks like how the TV looks after you turn the brightness up a tad too high. The Switch has more natural lighting. I don't know if I'd say the colors are richer exactly, but they are definitely more clear and crisp than the Wii U version.

Voice: "You must save her......my daughter."
Link: ".......Is she hot?"
Voice: ".........not really."
Link: "I'll pass then. :o"
Voice: ":csad:"

yeah. I don't know if "richer" is the right word either. but the colors and details on the Switch version look better to me. in comparison, the Wii U version looks "pale" and "washed out" as you said.

and looking at the tree and grass landscape later on in the comparison, you can tell the Switch version has more detail.

so for those that didn't see the three house . If there is any that missed it.

the other games will be shown in their respective threads

I also read on IGN, I believe, that the Wii U version will run at 720p and the Switch will run at 1080p. Of course, when you're playing on the go with the Switch it'll drop down to 720p regardless. Looks like the Switch might be the definitive way to experience Breath of the Wild.

I've read that it will only hit 900p, even when docked.

I disagree. I enjoyed the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess more than the Wii version. The only difference in that was the controls and mirroing. However, BotW was designed to use the WiiU gamepad and I think the the experience will be better with it.

watching the gameplay vids takes me back to the days of playing Link To The Past on SNES, Link's Awakening on Gameboy, and Ocarina of Time on N64.

those were the Zelda titles that had the most memorable impact on me.

They hype is real. I was hoping to just get this on the Wii U since I didn't want to spend $400 on a system for one game. But there is a difference in quality, and I'm sure I'll want more games on the Switch.

I'm so impressed by everything I've seen and heard. The character designs, the environment, the weather conditions, the colours, the mounts, and what looks like a team of allies (Zelda, the Zora, etc). And the Gerudo's are in it! They haven't been updated at all since OoT. That trailer was just loaded with stuff.

I don't think they're tailoring the game for the Gamepad anymore. I really think the Switch is the way to play BotW. Also, the TP Wii vs GC comparison isn't fair in this situation. The difference in those versions is a difference in gameplay entirely. One used a controller, the other motion controls.

So I've played Twilight Princess and Wind Waker on the Gamecube. I still have them, and a Wii. Are the HD remasters a big enough leap in graphics and feel that it would warrant buying a Wii U? I'm really in the mood to play those again, but since the Wii U is hard to find in stores, I'm not really comfortable buying one used for $300.

Zelda WiiU was announced Jan 2013. It was confirmed as an NX title April 2016. That's over 3 years of being developed solely for the WiiU, not to mention it was originally intended to come out in 2014. It's incorporated into the game with the Shiekah tablet.

The only gameplay difference was motion controls. They could be turned off for most items and were only required for sword-fighting. That and the mirroring are the only differences.

The WiiU ceased production. Your only option is used and the price will only go up over time.

I don't know what to make of the scene with Zelda bathing in the pool of water... Other than blatant fan service, which is rather strange for a Zelda game.

Nintendo is desperate, which calls for desperate measures.

when in doubt, show some skin.

:o

that being said, players get to see a shirtless, underwear clad Link right off the bat. I guess that's can be considered fan service, too. so, there must be a counter balance somewhere. :oldrazz:

I fully await the successful nude playthroughs.

Someone will mod it eventually. :o I did forget this is the same company that approved the inclusion of Shulk and Samus' scantily clad clothing options in Smash. :o

The way it was presented really didn't strike me as fan service.
