Streaming Wars: Which Service do you Use the Most?

I'll support if they don't raise the price. (I know, big "IF") Both currently have shows I love, but they are too few in numbers, so consolidating could be good.

Even if they do raise the price, this is still a better move. The fundamental problem with the streaming market is "too many different services", its in desperate need of culling. Once not everyone with a channel or a catalog tries to go their own way, it will be a lot easier for all the remaining services to improve *their* catalogs.

Netflix
HBO
Showtime
Peacock
Prime

1. Disney + / Hulu
2. Amazon Prime
3. Apple TV
4. Netflix
5. HBO Max
6. Paramount +
7. Peacock

Better renew my yearly plan before that happens.

The price hike isn’t too bad and makes sense since they’re integrating Showtime with Paramount now.

In this streaming era, there are enough popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Hulu, and many more, and choosing any one favorite is like a Puzzle game, Here I solve my puzzle - my favorite streaming platform is Disney Hotstar as they have the content that I like the most especially those Marvel movies and tv web series, They also have content available in our region language which gives enough reasons to stream. They have everything for all age groups from children to adults enough content to binge-watch loving.

1) Prime Video
2) Hulu
3) Netflix/Max
5) Disney

That's like $100/mo.

Still way cheaper than cable.

So Max and Disney are bundling. Now this.

It’s just cable

Funny mine went from HBO Max and Hulu to Disney+ and Netflix... I wonder why? 🤔

Right now, Paramount Plus. Been watching every Star Trek show for the first time and in-canon chronological order.

Remember when people lamented there are too many streaming services? Now we're heading back to most content on Netflix, Disney+ (Hulu), and Prime Video again.

If the Netflix deal passes (RIP Warner), the insane valuation that Wall Street darling Netflix will likely get ( its criminally overvalued already) will open the door, or a least a strong case could be made for a Disney - Universal merger down the road. There are some overlaps with the news organisations, but that can be sorted.

So in 5 years even less streaming.

Basically more big mergers in Hollywood are coming, especially if they don't want to become targets for big tech.

In Japan though, we still have so many.

Besides the big 3, Netflix, Disney+, and Prime, the local streaming service includes:
Hulu, NHK+, U-NEXT, Abema, Skypa, Wowow (mostly for sports channel), dAnime, DAZN, DMM (this last one specifically is for...ehemm adult content lol).
We never had a HBO Max here.

in terms of price, Disney+ still remains the most expensive one out of all. (Though I suspect Netflix will take over it in the upcoming years)

Likely the highest if his deal gets through ( I hope it doesn't) I don't think Paramount is necessarily out yet.

Comcast would have been the best scenario, but the combined libraries of WB and Universal would have overwhelmed everyone else in Hollywood that it would also trigger more mergers to try and match the undeniable advantage of that combo. Right now, even the Disney- Fox combination of libraries isn't as big as Universal or WB's libraries individually.

Amazon is only a player because of its ability to add on Prime to its core business. If it were based on just content to create subs it wouldn't even be in the game.
