So...anyone else see the giant ass green electric dragon just flying around the forested area of Hyrule?

YES! Took a screen shot of it. Scared the hell outta me. I ran very far away from it.

I've only put about 12 hours into it, but the only negative I can think of, are the Shrines that make you use the motion controls in the pad to control whatever little thing they force you to do. I don't know what it's like on the Switch, but I play with my Pro Controller on my Wii U, and the game stops you, and forces you to use the pad, and the motion controls are terrible. It really takes me out of the game. It was also my biggest grip with Mario 3D World on the Toad levels. It's minor and doesn't happen often, but I hate it when it does.

Other than that, I'm loving the game. Much harder than what I was expecting, but I like the difficulty. It makes me wonder what the "hard mode" is going to be like with the DLC, lol. This game should keep me busy for a solid 3-4 months. I don't see myself stopping/slowing down anytime soon. Just an all around fun game to run around and explore.

Nope. Thank god.

Anyone remember [BLACKOUT]the stone golem in the plateau? [/BLACKOUT] Well, I found his daddy...

There is no direct way to repair your weapons. Some folks are saying if you have an Octorock suck up your items, once you kill it, you'll get them back new, but I have yet to try it.
there are also some specific weapon that do better for each creature you have to fight . but it's hard to tell at times .

Frame Trap - Episode 24 "Losing Ourselves in Zelda"

Published on 6 Mar 2017
Today on Frame Trap, Ben, Bloodworth, and Ian have numerous stories to share from their time at GDC. Huber has been plowing through big recent releases such as Horzion Zero Dawn and Yakuza 0. The truth is, however, that the entire panel really just wants to play as much Zelda as they possibly can.

Wow oh wow i didnt think it was possibe for Zelda BOTW to live up to hype but it did! I finaly got to play for a good amount of time today played about 5 hours straight and i think this game may have finally dethrond Zelda Oot has the best video game ever made! The size of the game is incredable and its not just emtpy space either. I havnt even gotten to a dungeon yet the best part of zelda games and the game just gets better and better. I love love the art systel. While i te...nd to perfer more realistic art sytels and while this may not be the most technicold advance game graphics wise it is one of the best looking games i have ever played! I cant think of a game that looks similer to it. Also the game is hard like really hard. I cant remember dying so much in a Zelda game ever. Its like old video game hard which is nice because all video games not just Zelda games used to be much harder.

does anyone know how big the typical Zelda save files are on the Switch? is there anyway to tell?

is it like Skyrim where you can have multiple save files for one playthrough?

since you can't store save data outside of the Switch's internal storage, and that internal storage is only 32 GB ( or 20 something GB of actual space ), I'm trying to get an idea of just how much space save files will take up, especially for a save intensive game like Zelda.

Wow, this game is fantastic! I've been playing every chance I get since it came out.

I'm about 20 hours in, and just now took down my first real dungeon. And only acquired about 1/3 of the map.

This game is massive, but the terrain is so varied and there's enough to do everywhere that I haven't gotten bored just exploring Hyrule.

I just read you can have only one save file at a time. is that true?

^ thanks.

is there any way to know how big that save file is?

One save file per user just to clarify. Also the game uses multiple saves in game, when you save manually it doesn't overwrite the previous manual save.

do you think the Zelda save files take up a lot of space on the Switch's internal 32 GB storage?

X Knight just get the SD card so the game saves and patches save to it, so you won't have to worry about it. You just can't move it to the internal storage until Nintendo releases a firmware update to allow that functionality. If you already started playing it, then I wouldn't worry about it, cause Nintendo would have to be completely tone deaf to gamer demand by not giving them that feature.

Also the hype for this game is getting to me. I had planned on upgrading my PC components on my gaming rig, but now I'm very tempted to buy a Switch for Zelda. I'm trying to wait closer to my birthday to see if I still want the damn thing, but it's so hard.

but according to Nintendo, games saves are only saved to the internal storage, not to the SD card. and there's no way right now to transfer saves to the SD card.

that's the problem, especially since the internal storage is already relatively small at 32 GBs ( with only 25 GBs actually available I heard ).

if they let you store game saves to the SD card, then I'd have no problem with it.

Oh I read it was that once you insert an SD card the system auto saves to the card when the game is inserted. But you can't move the data to and from the system. You have to delete it to move it.

I think that just refers to saving games and DLC to a SD ( can't move it back and forth between SD and internal ) but the actual save data gets stored on the internal.

It's **** how you can only get the classic costumes with amiibos... I'm not paying £115 on Amazon for the OOT one.

£115? Geez, I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten mine for the actual price and not had to deal with the BS prices people try to sell them for. Isn't it possible to acquire the pieces in the actual game without the amiibo though?
