I finally got [blackout] the master sword[/blackout] ... thinking it would be some 55 damage weapon or something... but nope lol

I may not have come across them yet, but I miss the hook shot... and from Link to the Past, the fire and ice rods.
I don't think the hook shot is is in the game. Thought I saw an article here about that. Could be wrong though.

yea the hookshot prob isnt since theres not place for it in inventory. coulda been cool to have an arrow like that though, like the show :funny:

he shoots arrows that are basically the same as batmans grapple gun lol

@Reek

My [blackout]Master Sword[/blackout] maxes out at [blackout]60 damage[/blackout], tho. Are you [blackout]letting it fully charge?[/blackout]

I literally
pulled it out of the stone then turned off the game... it said it was '30' though. havent played since then, about to though.

I looked it up. In the presence of certain types of enemies, and all bosses, it automatically doubles to 60. Its situational.

I don't think i like it having a mind of it's own.

Yeah, Electric Wizrobes are a pain in the ass.

The hook shot explanation article you both seek is on page 26 of this thread.

Welp, rode a Lynel. And he responded appropriately for such an offense...

Why do you guys keep blocking out the Master Sword, like it's a spoiler? The Sword is on the cover of the game twice. It's in between the Z in "Zelda", and Link is even holding it while looking over a mountain.

It's on the cover. :hehe:

It's obviously in the game but I prefer not to be spoiled on how it's acquired.

So who found [blackout]Calamity Ganon actually disturbing[/blackout]?

The game doesn't even make a big deal about the Master Sword when you find it, it's just kind of there.

Finally ran into my first big dragon, riding across the Lake Hylia bridge and suddenly its right in front of my face, probably one of the coolest moments in the game for me so far, seriously beautiful design for the dragons as well.

I love the Dragon Sidequest on Mt. Lanayru where you have to [blackout]shoot the Malice eyes off the poor thing[/blackout]. What an awesome little battle that was. :)

PAGE 1 OF 5:ZELDA UNBREAKABLE WEAPONS: INTRODUCTION
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's combat system is made all the more varied - or frustrating, depending on your point of view - with the fact that all of the weapons and shields in the game have a durability stat, meaning that they'll shatter into a million bright blue pieces once you've clobbered enough enemies, or deflected enough blows.
If you're pining for something that isn't quite as fragile, you're in luck. There are a few weapons and one shield in the game that are almost unbreakable.
The Master Sword is the only truly unbreakable weapon in the game, but there are a few other items that can either be reforged, or that have a very high durability stat.
This is as close as you're going to get to weapons that don't break, so make your peace with that and go get 'em.

YEAH! Loved that sidequest. Farming the horns/scales off the dragons in the world to upgrade armor is a lot of fun too. It's a manageable challenge.

I gotta say, thank God for this new game. I just had my wisdom teeth yanked and can't do anything save for bumble around Hyrule. Being able to take the Switch into the bedroom when I want to play while laying down is such a rad thing. I love this system so much.
