As promised, the 2010 season is officially behind us and we can get to discussing next year. Free agents, trades, intrigue, and more!

Will the Rangers coast to success again or will the Angels or perhaps A's make it an actual challenge?

Can the Giants win again with only pitching?

Will all the stupid posturing cost the Yankees Derek Jeter? More importantly, does anyone actually care?

Is this the year the Pirates get to .500?

How much will the Red Sox spend to get out of third place?

What lousy trade packages will the D-Backs get for Mark Reynolds and Justin Upton?

...something about the Mets and their lousy managerial choice?

and most importantly...

Has Timmy Boy already turned the trophy into a bong?

Discuss!

New York Yankees...2011 World Series Champions.

Yeah, I said it. :p

Miami Marlins--Florida Marlins 2011 playoffs!

I had dream that Uggla was older and on Red Sox as a DH/3rd/SS. No, not on drugs.

You definitely had to be on something to think Uggla would be a 3B/SS when he was older.

Immortal, please stop talking about the Marlins. You give the other 7 fans a bad name.

Yay for the new thread!

Let's go Mets!

Go Yankees. Hoping to see a game next year.

I do think Lincecum has turned the trophy into a bong.

Speaking of which, Giants re-sign Aubrey Huff and Tigers sign Victor Martinez.

I would really like to see the Cardinals actually do something this year but with our idiot of a manager I don't see that happening. Atleast Duncan will have 4 pitchers to work with this off season instead of just 1 or 2.

Do they have the money to re-sign Albert Pujols? Because if they let the 2011 season end without a contract for him, the line of teams interested will be long.

I'm predicting a 3rd place finish for the Marlins this season.

I'm predicting a Wild Card birth finish for the Mets this season.

I predict that every year for my Amazins. ;) :csad:

He has said he wants to stay but he said he won't take a "hometown discount" but knowing this club we will throw him more money than has ever been thrown at a ball player in the history of the sport. I mean he IS the Cardinals and after that huge signing of Holiday FOR Pujols I'm sure he will get what he wants and more.

Spidey-Bat, where do you have the Mets in the upcoming year?

Marlins and Vazquez are in hot talks for a one yr deal, says ESPN.com. Hmmm...

The no pressure situation and empty seats will only help Vazquez...He thrived in Atlanta because of the little attention he received.

The Yankees will probably replace Vasquez with Cliff Lee....or at least they hope so.

The rumored contract is a bit too much for Lee....6 years 140. I do not give him a 7th year either.
Btw, I have no problem with what the Yankees are doing with Jeter.

He will get no where that amount in the market

Diamondbacks Acquire Zach Duke
By Mark Polishuk [November 24 at 6:10pm CST]

The Diamondbacks have acquired left-hander Zach Duke from the Pirates in exchange for a player to be named later, according to an Arizona team press release. Duke, 27, was designated for assignment by Pittsburgh last week following a rough 2010 that saw the southpaw post a 5.72 ERA in 29 starts for the Bucs.

A lifetime Pirate, Duke has a career 4.54 ERA in 160 games (159 of them starts) and a 1.88 K/BB ratio in six major league seasons. He provides Arizona with a veteran innings-eating option for their rotation, though his career-high 1.4 HR/9 last season might be of greater concern if he's going to be pitching at Chase Field. Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports that the D'Backs will try to sign Duke to a contract worth less than his $4.3MM salary in 2010, and if the two sides can't come to an agreement by the tendering deadline, Duke will be non-tendered.
