New issue was pretty solid as usual.

So is the Owl screwing over Fisk or is this going to just be a part of Fisk's master plan? :woot:

I think that it's all part of Fisk's plan.

and to add my 2 bits. I'm really looking forward to Andy Diggle taking over. Don't get me wrong, Brubaker reminded why I loved DD, but it's time for a writer who likes to get involved with the rest of the MU to bring DD out of his oblivious corner. I'm looking forward to it!

Is Michael Lark leaving too? I hope not, his DD work is perfect.

We don't know that yet.

For all of those that are a little worried about Brubaker leaving, go pick up Diggle's run on the Thunderbolts and those worries should disappear. I'm really excited.

I wonder if DD will be more involved with the rest of the MU now... I'm looking forward to the change nonetheless

I wonder if he'll make Hawkeye(Bullseye) show up when he takes over

You got a link?

please.

nevermind, I went back a few pages. I'm not familiar with Andy Diggle but I'll definately check it out. DD is always cool. It's not at the top of my must read pile, but it's always in there somewhere.

It should be.

I think DD and Cap are the best books marvel is putting out yet no one reads.

Cap and DD are definitely top of the line when it comes to mainstream superhero comics IMO.

Mines too.Daredevil has been top of the line almost since it's relaunch.

they might not be top 10 in sales but a lot of people are reading Cap and DD. I wish Iron Fist had as many people reading it as those 2.

Oh don't get me started on sales and the moronic views the higher ups have on them that make NO sense whatsoever.

I know many ARE reading but I find it funny that it isnt refelcted in the community (and yes, in sales). It's just werid.

And yeah I agree with Iron Fist. Shoulda just let Bru and co run with it.

I'm lovign the current story in Daredevil. Can't wait to see where it goes now that we have seen the return of Owl, and much more. Can't wait for the next issue.

Here's an intervies of Diggle taking the job. Plus, we're already starting to see it. Anyone read Deadpool: Suicide Kings part 2? Yes this IS the correct forum for this. I suggest you read it if you haven't...hint hint

So...what does everyone think is gonna happen in #500? I think its fairly obvious DD is going to end up leading the Hand, that could be an interesting development, like when he became the Kingpin of Hell's Kitchen. What do y'all think?

Has Brubakers last issue of DD come out yet?

Wow, how is nobody talking about the new issue? I thought it was great. I think its the best centennial issue this year next to Thor 600. DD leading the Hand should provide for some very interesting stories in the future. Maybe he'll be able to convert them into a force of good? thoughts?

I really really enjoyed this issue but I don't really think it was better than Amazing Spider-Man # 600. :o

Though what is it with the creative teams on Daredevil just ending their runs on pure insanity and then handing it to the next team saying, "Well, here you go...good luck with THIS MADNESS! MWAHAHAHA!" Loved the story and the ending definitely makes things VERY interesting. A very good twist in it as well that I didn't even see coming. I like when something ACTUALLY SURPRISES ME!

And another issue filled with no ads and lots of extras. The Daredevil List preview was pretty good and definitely sets some very interesting things up. The back up story by Ann Nocenti was all right. Didn't really knock my socks off or anything. And then they reprinted Daredevil # 191 by Frank Miller.

Definitely well worth the cover price and a very great way for the Brubaker/Lark run to come to and end. Just keeping my fingers crossed that the next team carries on the long standing creative greatness that Daredevil has had for the past six or seven years.

I really hope they keep Daredevil at this status quo for a while (i know i know, dont hold my breath). This status generates a plethora of story possibilities and i could see at least 3 years worth of stories from it. The last time they tried something like this was when Bendis made DD kingpin of Hell's Kitchen, but that only lasted like 5 issues or something. I hope this new development lasts for a while.

It sounds like it is going to be a while. Even in DD's inner monologue he talks about how it's not going to be easy and how it's going to take a lot of time. So, I see this lasting, at least, a year. I don't think they will drag this out for three years. I do hope that they don't just do like a five or six issue arc and then it's like, "Ok, back to the way it was".

There is no doubt that Brubaker's run on DD is right up there with Miller. That is my opinion, but i LOVE what he brought to the character and the stories. DD's time in jail is maybe one of my all time favorite DD archs.

But #500 was a great issue, i loved the jumping back and forth from times, all the reveals worked well and didn't seem out of place and....

DD joining the Hand was a real surprise and a big move for the character, almost doing it to himself as punishment to what he has done to the people in his life. More backstory to Izo was great, as well as the shunning of Lady Bullseye and Kingpin.

Plus with the little preview to Dark Reign - The List: Daredevil, i can't wait to see DD's expanded role into this big thing happening in the Marvel Universe, especially with Norman and Bullseye.

First look at #501 from IGN:
