I am so excited for Shadowland man. I've always wanted an event with just the street level characters: Punisher, Spidey, DD, Ironfist, Luke, Ghostrider, Elektra, Moon Knight... man those are all my favorite characters, i'm salivating. I just hope Diggle doesnt take DD too far.

Okay guys... so I've read and LOVED Bendis's run on Daredevil. I've started and am enjoying Brubaker's run but I don't have the money to continue anytime soon, but I'm really interested. And now with this Shadowland storyline, I've decided I want to pick up the book ongoing, but I don't know what's happened after I've left off. So, without mentioning anything that's happened in Diggle's run (I plan on buying those over the next week or two) can anyone be nice enough to detail the remainder of Brubaker's run that I haven't read?

I left off at issue 108. The whole Fear storyline is ended (and man was it good!). Milla's in an institution. Daredevil's coming out of his rage and is now helping Dakota North try to prove Big Ben Donovan's innoscence of decapitating 3 children, though Ben doesn't want proven free.

And that's where I left off.

Anyone willing to detail the rest of Bru's run for me? The more detail the better.... and then I can continue with the ongoing and feel up to date.

Oh, and I read the Annual that brought Black Tarrantula out of the prison and seems to have turned him into a bit of an anti-hero. I don't know if anything else came of that, but yeah. I read that one too.

I think there were only two arcs left at this point in Brubaker's run. Matt banged Dakota North leading to both of them feeling guilty. Lady Bullseye made her first appearance with The Hand, going after White Tiger and Black Tarantula then DD. Lady Bullseye is also a lawyer by day, assisting Milla Donovan's parents in gaining custody of her away from Matt.

Her goal is to become leader of The Hand (she was trained by Master Izo) and her methods go against The Hand's common practices. Kingpin returns, and Bru shows that he was living in Spain with a wife and her kid. Lady Bullseye kills the family causing Fisk to come back to NYC. Master Izo turns on Lady B, and offers DD the spot as leader of the Hand as long as they cast out Lady B and never work with Fisk again. DD then kinda goes underground with The Hand, Izo, White Tiger and Black Tarantula, cutting Foggy and Dakota out of his life. That's when Diggle took over.

That's the best I can remember without going back and re-reading it. I might have missed a couple of things.

I really liked the Kingpin in Spain story. Always knew where it was leading to, but very much gave me the feel in some ways of the end of Godfather (II?) where Don Corleone keels over at the end playing with one of his grandchildren. For the first time, I really felt for Tubby.

Actually it was more like when Michael went to Italy in GF1 and married that girl and she was killed by Michael's enemies back home.

Actually it was more like when Michael went to Italy in GF1 and married that girl and she was killed by Michael's enemies back home.

Yeah, I can see that. But I sort of meant that Don Corleone, after this life filled with violence, had gone off to the quiet life in a villa in Italy (although, he was probably still ordering hits in his wheelchair). Michael was more of an innocent (sort of) when his wife was killed.

Man, I've long been a fan of Daredevil, but have sadly fallen behind on the books. Shadowrun (and the events leading up to it with the Hand) seems like a controversial, but very interesting move. I love the covers and I hope this doesn't disappoint. Already, from the concept, I'm hoping for a few Marvel DTVs to cover this story.

Wow. Some "fans" are taking this Heroic Age thing waaaay to literally. Just saw some complaints on another board because Shadowland is "grim and gritty"...which has no place in the Heroic Age, where heroes and villains all sit around holding hands and singing gospel songs.

Nice homage to a Frank Miller cover though.The way the teasers have been going besides this one I'm guessing were having a mini civil war.Some of the street level heroes will join Matt's cause will others fight it.Looking at the teasers I'm guessing


With Matt:Elektra,Punisher,Ghost Rider(Hope it's both Danny and Johny since both are active.)
Against Matt:Moon Knight,Iron Fist,Luke Cage and Spider-man(Basically the Avengers)
