ve seen a number of people speculating that Reilly is gonna be spidey after 700.... not been reading ASM so dont now if there is a any substance to the theories

just basing what Ive seen on other forums, alot of people think Jackals involvement is no coincidence... also someone mentioned a pod or a vial that Jackal has been talkign to or something

Nah there is no indication whatsoever Ben would be involved in any way. Jackal having anything to do with Alpha is a stretch... aside from Peter's role in his origin, Alpha has no business in a Spidey book...

It would be weird for Marvel to bring back Ben as Spider-Man... given the succesful launch of Kaine as the Scarlet Spider...

I don't think Marvel would want to rock that last boat...

Meh. I'm doubting it. Superior could be something to do with the X-Men universe considering that the official term for a mutant is "Homo-Superior". And that this has to do with the most shocking moment of 2012 and there was this big reveal in the X-Men universe that made national news last week.

Also after listening to Bendis talk about that "event" on the word balloon podcast it might have something to do with Magneto. Considering he's all for the rights of "homo-SUPERIOR".

However, if it has to do with Alpha isn't kind of like a redux of the Clone Saga? I'm a huge fan of the Clone Saga and Ben Reilly...obviously...but having Alpha in anyway take Peter's place is really pushing that Clone Saga line especially with the rumor of Doc Ock biting the dust in the road to 700. Now it'll REALLY be taking a page from the Clone Saga.

IF ANYONE is going to "replace" Peter it's going to be his clone BEN F'N REILLY!!

No it's not a rehash. The Clone Saga writers at the time were very clear in interviews they intended Ben Reilly to be the real Spider-Man and Peter was the clone.

Dan Slott has been out saying things specifically like "keep reading no matter what". Whatever happens in ASM 700 is a small piece of a big picture as far as I'm concerned.

Personally, I kinda hope the Superior tagline means Miracleman finally but it seems it could be 50/50 that or Spidey related....

so my scarlet mask arrived today gonna have to make a full costume now... what you guys think re: the hoodie... rolled up sleeves at the top with a full hood rather than the tattered one? Think I'll just get a red zentai suit, affix some soles and then make custom belt puches and wrists

I was randomly looking online at Scarlet costumes - not many out there - and saw that some guy who makes wrestling masks had made one for a client, so I contacted him and asked him to make it for me (albeit with smaller eyes than the previous one he did - i think the eyes on mine are large enough) so its more like a wrestling mask than other cosplays you see, ill try and get better pics of it, the white trim is leather and you can see the thread work, but honestly it looks great

thats his facebook page, he has pics of his first scarlet mask (with larger eyes) he has done a few other superhero masks too- and if anyone is thinking of ordering he is a real friendly guy and very helpful - let me know if youre gonna order and Ill tell you my real name so you can ask him for eyes the same sze as my ones

For some reason every image I've seen of "Superior" Spidey, he looks shorter than normal...so Kaine as Spidey doesn't seem to work for me, seeing as how Kaine is either Peter's height or taller...
