Unless it was in one of the little bonus stories they have in the book, because I haven't read those yet.

The second one is Captain Stacy, and I can't remember the first guy's name off the top of my head but it's not Ben Reilly.

EDIT: First guy is Lance Bannon.

So it's an appearance.....whoopedee doo. It has little significance to the story. All it is, is Marvel once again acknowledging the Clone Saga after years of pretending it never happened. You get more Ben Reilly out of the Raptor arc from a few years ago.

I think it's kinda nice to see something that WAS ignored for a decade referenced as being a pivotal moment in Peter's history in the 700th issue. I guess you haven't really gotten the point of the Fans of Reilly thread... we LIVE for single panel appearances... and offhand mentions... and indirect references.

Man, runaway boulder you have a serious hate-on for Ben (which is ironic since you seem to love this thread). I can name close to a dozen Spidey stories that have been worse since the clone-saga ended. In retrospect, it really wasn't that bad. And I think you secretly love Ben, which is why you post about him so much!

Sins Past, One More Day and now this have all been so much more worse than the clone saga - they should have left Benny Boy as spidey the books would be in a much better state now

On top of the dreck you already mentioned... Final Chapter, Chapter One, The Other, Spider-Island (which I'm sorry was dreadful), Alpha.... all of those were worse than the clone saga. There's no 'Official Fans of Alpha' thread or people reminiscing about fun moments from Chapter One.

I don't mind Spider-Island simply for the clone references and for the fact it put Kaine where he is now.... that said I would have enjoyed it alot more if it brought Ben back and Kaine was still a bad guy

I would love to see Ben, Pete and Kaine all having thanksgiving dinner together one day trying to bond as brothers
