Yeah, but May would have never fallen into that coma, because the argument with MJ would have never happened.
And since she wasn't in that coma Ben wouldn't have come back to NY. So he'd still be alive.

Well, the thing with time altering stories is, everything is possible. So if the rumors are true, I hope they will address all this, but I doubt it.
Man, if ending the marriage would bring back Ben, I would even be ok with it.

guys i think some of you are taking the marriage retcon to far. as far as i see it, from the ways its been worded, people will just not remeber. its not removing it from reality its just making people not remeber it. so all things relating to it still happend.

Quesada really is a genius... He's trying to make DareDevil the Flagship character by raping Spidey into oblivion (or chaos it's your pick...) As much as I'd like to see Ben alive, I don't want 20 something years of continuity be raped for it...

I got the issue. If you're buying it solely for the hope that Reilly will come back... don't bother. Here are some spoilers if you care...

We get clones. Just not the clone we want. It seems everyone from Thor to this MVP guy to Stan Lee's mother gets a clone nowadays, but Marvel's still too scared to even refer to Ben without making some quip about how much they suck (ala JJJ saying "God I hate clones). Forget it. Good Peter Parker action. Crappy, convoluted way of putting doubt in peoples' minds that Peter is Spider-Man (DD handled this much better!). Gorgeous art. All in all though, not anything worth buying if you're looking for Ben or even substantial Ben references.

We get Spidey saying the Scarlet Spiders picked a "real original" name and JJJ saying he hates clones. That's it.

Some dude named Michael Van Patrick who really has nothing to do with Spidey, except they both seem to have clones.

So, they made the Scarlet Spiders clones... of a non Spidey character... and basically in one issue cut all future ties between the Scarlets and Spidey by having them "make it up" to Peter for taking over his identity, and peacing. Just bring back Ben you Asses.

I swear they must have some guy who tracks all the Ben Return hype and rumors, who just plots new ways for us to freak out over the possibility of his return. But I mean, now its worse than ever... all the clone talk, the scarlet spiders... the many mentions or references to Ben or the Scarlet Spider... the costume in that Friendly Neighbourhood arc... the flashed image of his death... why?

Oh I know why, Marvel is just taunting the people they think got so angry and forced them to kill the character, only to want him back years later.
