Thanks, freemadison. I'm glad you liked it :-)

I had alot of fun doing it and I'm thinking of making a series now. I would especially love to do Sin-Eater, Kraven's Last Hunt, Spider-Man: Redemption, Reign and even Back in Black.

Picked up the REVENGE OF THE GREEN GOBLIN trade last week finally, and was pleased to see Ben visually featured in Spider-Man's thoughts, in one of the chapters.

Ooooo...i didn't know there was a Ben reference in that...any chance you have a scan?

I don't wanna make a big deal out of this lest we get hopes up, but my comic shop owner swears up and down that one of these "Scarlet Spiders" is a clone (not necessarily Ben) of Peter. How he would know this I have no idea, but he did accurately predict Spider-Man unmasking and Aunt May getting shot before the cat was out of the bag on either of those two stories. I'm thinking it might be one of those robotic tinkered clones like Clor.

"Triple Threat" When the Vulturians make off with some of our government's most classified secrets, it's up to the Scarlet Spiders to take them down before they can pass them off to a foreign power. By the time this adventure is over, expect to learn the identity of at least one of the men behind the Iron Spider masks! Plus an appearance by a mystery Spidey villain. And Spider-Man fans take note: This issue features a very important Pre-One More Day appearance by Peter Parker!

Just started reading through some of the clone saga. Donalds site basically has all of it.

WOOOOOOOOOO! I'm excited! Of course, I'm much less excited by the idea that it's immediately followed by One More Day (which if the MJ rumors are true, may very well negate many if not all things clone-saga related...FROWN TOWN:csad::csad::csad::csad:).

I was waiting for a Stark/Richards created Spidey clone ever since issue 4 of Civil War....But, I'd be even happier to see Kaine as the mystery Spidey villain!

So the stark/richards spidey clone would be a neurotic stretchy drunk clone of Spidey... why don't we give Spidercide a case of Sam Adams instead...

maybe i should clarify :woot:....

i meant to say the stark/richards-created spidey clone...

Spidercide and a case of Sam Adams makes for one hilarious hour. Of course, time to run away when his buzz does....:woot:

I know what you meant, but I had to make a Spidercide reference on this fans of Ben Reilly thread, afterall Spidercide is the same thing as Ben a Spider-clone... A Spidey on Civil War would've been shocking and capable of cracking the internet in half... but I can up the ante... a clone of Ben Reilly...

Marvel just give us an Untold Tales of Ben Reilly mini and make us happy...

I really doubt they will bring Ben back during the fall out of civil war. If they do bring him back it will be huge. They know they will sell like crazy and they will make a million variants to match that. Im all for him coming back as long as its a good story that does his death justice. Its gonna be hard to bring him back after what happened to him.

Actually it would be very simple... the Ben that died was another imperfect clone and Norman has the real ben kidnapped and is being brainwashed by this moment... or it was a skrull...

If Norman did kidnap the real Ben and replace him with an imperfect clone then we'd be back to who's the real Peter Parker? Since it was proven that Ben was the real Peter Parker before PPSM #75 happened and if Ben did come back the writers would have to write some kind of story where they do even more testing to show that Ben is the clone. The reason I say this is because if Ben did return that way I don't think people would be very happy to learn that the Peter Parker they've been reading about since Ben's death was the clone. Marvel would be repeating the same mistake where the Peter we've been reading about was a clone. I'd just go get Ben from an alternate reality but I don't know I'd want our reality's Ben back so I don't have any clue what to do.

In my eyes Ben dissolving proved nothing. Kaine didn't dissolve after his death, Spidercide didn't dissolve, the Jackal clone didn't dissolve... and since the real Ben was a perfect clone without degeneration, he wouldn't have dissolved either.
I know they did this to prove Peter that he's real. And as a reader I get that, so I believe Peter to be the real deal (he should always have been). But storywise it's faulty.
So I think it would be no problem to bring him back emphasizing he's the (originial and perfect) clone.

BTW, I don't think the mix-up of who's real and who's the clone was the reason why the clone saga has this bad reputation. The problem was the change of editors and writers who changed plans often and kept no backdoor for the resolution. So that's why it became a little bit crappy in the end.

To sum it up: make it clear Ben is the clone, and you can bring him back any time.

norman faked those tests. peter actually tested not to be the clone, but normal switched the result.

Exactly, Norman Osborn is living proof that Ben isn't the real deal. He wouldn't spend years since his return tormenting a "fake".

I see nobody picked up Marvel Comics Presents and picked up on all the clone saga jabs in Peter's story, right down to Doc Ock's fake clone.

Plus Peter mentions his "clone thing" in an issue of another book, but the details on that one escape me at the moment. Think it was New Avengers.

Marvel Comics Presents?? Like anyone in their right mind picks up that kiddie series. :yay:

Hey everybody, long time no see! Is that damn issue STILL not out yet? Balls.

As for the Youtube thing JJJ, good job! I know it's a bit late but upon first reading for your post asking for suggestions, I immediately thought of this song:

BROTHER, MY BROTHER

Brother my brother
One blue and one gray
Will meet upon a quiet field
The morn of judgement day
Brother my brother
God has heard your battle call
Now he'll watch his precious children
Learn how to stand, learn how to fall
And his eyes will look away
For his heart will so be torn
As his fields of gold turn scarlet
From the rage of battle born
And the silence of the night
Will be broken by the cries
Of the ones who've been forgotten
On the quiet field where honor lies
Give me now a splendid sun
With all his light full clear
Give me now a gentle autumn
Before the dying of the year
And some green unbloodied grass
While I can still see far
Give me one night on a river
And one unfailing star
Brother my brother
One blue and one gray
Will meet upon a quiet field
The morn of judgement day
Brother my brother
God has heard your battle call
Now he'll watch his precious children
Learn how to stand, learn how to fall

Thanks, Rez! Glad you liked it (Tell your friends :cwink: ).

And that is a very cool song. Reminds me of one of those World War I poems by Wilfred Owen. Maybe for the next Ben Reilly video... hehehe...

If that happens it should definitely be a thought provoking storyline. But I just don't see it happening. Why? Because Spider-Man fans *****ed and moaned worse about a Spider-Man clone than they have about Joe Quesada, and that's saying something. It won't happen because most traditional Spider-Man fans can't stomach a Spider-Man clone.

I 've thought they were Peter's clones as well....Remember; Stark cloned Thor, whom he was friends with a lot longer than he was Peter's...
