So IF Reilly is alive in "Brand New Day", and Mephisto DID wipe everyone's memories of Pete's ID.... does that mean Reilly has no idea who the hell he is or who he's cloned from???

(and yes, this was a shameless excuse to bump my favorite thread :cwink: )

ha that could be a half funny story/way to bring back ben, he dosnt remember who pete is so has no idea who he is himself

I hope slott stops sucking joe q and does something cool, his first arc on bnd was terribly average at best (I didn't buy it) and I normally love his work

SCAN! SCAN! I NEED SCAN!

But what the hell is the deal with MA? Does it take place post-OMD? If so, the Reilly Spider-Man stint shouldn't have happened.

And for that matter, pre-OMD, or post-OMD.... how does Stark know about Reilly or Reilly's secret ID? Did Peter really spill the beans to Stark not just about the fact he had a clone, but about his name and everything about him (including the symbiote possesion)? If so, poor form, Peter. Revealing your own ID is one thing, but Ben still has living friends who could be targeted...

bump.

C'mon someone MUST have a scan. I'm currently in a place where I won't be able to see that MA issue (or any comic) for a while.

Dammit, Tony shouldn't know about Reilly. Way to spill beans about your bro, Pete. The extensive information in that Parker bio from the Stark-written Civil War Files special from '06 looks, it seems Tone got Pete liquored up on his gigantic booze collection and got him to reveal just about every secret in the book (Reilly, baby May's death, the Aunt May/actress thing, being buried alive, etc). Damn, Pete, between the sucking up to Tony thing and the Mephisto deal, you're kinda crap compared to Ben.

just read the last question posed to the fattest editor in chief of all time

thanks man.

thats sounds promising, or its just him saying that cos hes an idiot and dosent know/dosent want more hate mail by saying "nope there gone"

who knows man....who knows....

p.s just in case you ever read this thread lose some weight fatty q

I am yet to read it thought I would post it for you guys 1st
And the OBLIGATORY BEN REILLY QUESTION

Does the Mephisto deal altering points of history allow for the idea that some elements of the Clone Saga were changed and that Ben Reilly could return to the supporting cast? Or rather, are the chances better now for Ben (or Kaine) to come back to the books than they were several years ago?

Keep reading Amazing Spider-Man, we have a lot of stories to tell.

hmm sounds like there might be a chance. :woot:

im sure I speak for all of us when I say your welcome it was a fantastic read, thank you very much kind sir

Yeah, Andrew, absolutely amazing. That article of yours was half the reason I took such an interest in Spiderman comics over any other.

Now here's something I've just got to ask. I'm doing a bit of a project with Maximum Clonage and pulled out the issues to read for the first time in a long, long time. I often frequent parts of the CS but this is one such part that I usually skip. And my question is this- Did Peter really kill a bunch of people in that town in the beginning of issue one?! He opened the canister of poisonous gas and everyone drops! I kept thinking it was some kind of dream or virtual reality room, but then later on in the issue we see a bunch of government men in containment suits picking up bodies. I totally forgot about this "little" thread... so is it as it appears? Did Peter become a mass murderer in this arc, and it was so hated for so many reasons that people just forgot about it? Or is there some kind of happy ending or explanation for all these bodies later that I've forgotten about?
