Ramore, where did my ol' buddy Dread say that? I need to go put some wrongness in some of his statements.

Well when Glenn and I first decided to do it, a lot of people thought we were crazy to spend any amount of time (let alone 35 chapters) on the Clone Saga. As we started getting more into the series people really liked how we were taking this in-depth look at that story. I think people enjoyed it just as much for a peek behind the curtain at how a major comic story is done as they did because it was for the Clone Saga.

And at the time we were doing this we got some help with interviews and commentary from some people that we talked to before and that Glenn knew like Todd, Tom and Mark. We didn't have enough time to go through to track everyone done or wait for them to be free to comment since we were on a week to week schedule.

Now I've had over a year to do research and work around the creator's schedules and I think it's going to pay off.

Actually the only creator left that I'd really like to talk to about their time on the Clone Saga is John Romita Jr. I can't seem to find any contact info for him. So if anyone knows it, PM me or tell John to. ;)

Yeah man that was the thing it really gave me insight into how things are done and decided in that world. That's how when stuff happens now just about nothing can suprise me...except One More Day I never could have called it. Yeah try and find JR. that would be cool his series on Ben's lost years was really good:up:

Yeah normally I agree with him but not that time.

It was in the "new new warriors thread" Under marvel comics.

Bye the way i just figured out that little box with > sign next to someone's name and a repost will take you to the orinal qoute, page, and thread.

I preordered my Reilly Comics yesterday:up: The Revolution Begins!

Who's Scarlet Spider, Ben as Spiderman?

Sweet! I just scored Along Came a Spider fer $5.50! One piece missing from what I hope will be an eventual return to the Spidey-verse I was craftin' fer the former Epic line. Now, if only I could get the damn Planet of the Symbiotes finished. Friggin' $7 an issue...yeesh.

SWEET JESUS TAPDANCING CRISPY CREME CHRIST!!!!!

Kaine's probably coming back, too.

Brian Cronin: One reader asked if there was any past Spider-man villain that you didn’t like at the time that you would like to see a writer revamp and make cool now.
Stephen Wacker: Erik Larsen.
Tom Brevoort: Who’s he? I must’ve missed that issue.
Stephen Wacker: I never much liked Slyde, sorry to say.
Stephen Wacker: I’d like to see Kaine made into something interesting, too.

Alright I tried to go thru this thread to find out myself...
But what is this all about a Ben Reilly return? Is this for real? How?

Hes not really returning persay, just a mini series that takes place at different time perioids, much like Spider-Man/Human Tourch: I'm With Stupid

That's part of what makes this interesting to me--seeing how the characters evolved over the course of their history. In our first issue, as you point out, things are more innocent--Gwen Stacy is alive and dating Peter, and the X-Men are teenagers just coming into their own as individuals, so you could say it's a bit more light hearted in tone...although that innocence does bring with it the danger of inexperience. By the second issue, we've got Black Costume Spidey and an X-Team that's just seen the wholesale slaughter of the Mutant Massacre, so things are considerably grimmer. In our third issue, Spider-Man is Ben Reilly--that's right, the infamous Spider-Clone--and Wolverine has lost his adamantium, instead sporting bone claws...so it's a time of confusion and uncertainty. And the final issue brings us into the present day, post-One More Day and "No More Mutants."

Did they already say when the issues of Spider-Man/X-Men will be out?
I once read November, but is there already a release date?

Edit:
Ah, sorry to bother you, I found it myself. I was looking for Spider-Man/X-Men while the correct name is X-Men/Spider-Man. Doh!

It's in stores November 5, 2008.

I had a dream last night that I was at my LCS and saw a Ben Reilly book on the shelf. But I've dreamt about that a lot of times since he died 12 years ago. I woke up and was sad. But then I remembered....

HEY, in a couple months I actually WILL see a Ben Reilly book on the shelf!!!

In fact, the new solicits should be the X-Men/Spidey issue which showcases Reilly. When do those hit? Can't wait to see the cover!
