Idk about you guys, but I get the distinct feeling that we're never going to see Letoker or Hardly Quinn in this universe again.
Lol
Try harder ok?

Here's the thing. WB clearly wants to hold onto Robbie and Leto regardless of them wanting to have another Joker film outside of the DCEU. I tend to think they want to hold onto Margo Robbie's Harley more than Leto's Joker, but they still want the actors in their stable.
That said, I'm skeptical GCS or the Joker and Harley team up film are gonna happen at this point. I still think alot of their plans are dependent on how JL does. The only sure things at this point seem to be WW2 and The Batman.
And article in Forbes claimed just the opposite. That how Justice League is received is irrelevant to future plans. It's basically a throw away movie like the King Arthur movie was.
A hold-over from the previous administration that is being released to get it out of the way so they can get going with the newer movies. So if Justice League is a hit they'll take it.
If it is a flop they can point to Wonder Woman as the new direction they will be going.
I remember when the determining factor of the faith of the DCEU was BVS, then it was SS, Wonder Woman now its Justice League lol.
What I'm talking about is what films will and won't go into production. Bvs was a determining factor in the tone for SS and JLA hence the changes they made for those films.
SS and WW were already in production when BvS came out, and JL was set to film not too long after BvS was released so that wasn't gonna change.
What I'm talking about is whether WB thinks twice about certain projects depending on JL's performance. Given all the shifting and changing you'd have to have alot of faith to believe the WB will go ahead with all of the proposed projects regardless of what happens with JL box office and critical wise.

The DCEU is much bigger than the Justice League. They have the whole DC universe to play with. Not all the proposed projects will happen anyways. The cancelled projects will be replaced by others. There is also something called course correction.
Justice league getting bad reviews won't automatically make Batman, Joker , Harley, Wonder Woman Catwoman, Flash toxic. BVS reception did not seem to affect SS or WW. WB knows this now.
Yeah, the DCEU is bigger than JL, but to think JL's reception won't have any bearing on how WB moves forward is just silly. If JL bombs, you will ABSOLUTELY see some shifting, prob some cancellations, I'd be surprised if there weren't delays to get some rewrites and tone changes into the movies going forward. JL is a MASSIVE tentpole for the DCEU. It only makes sense for WB to react accordingly. I mean...I think you're seeing it already with the Joker. I think the Leto backlash was very unexpected, and I think the possible origin film is in response. I'd really be surprised if we saw Leto back in the face paint at all.
Well, Quinn was everyone's saving grace from SS, but I think you may be 100% correct on Leto's Joker. Even he's come out claiming confusion over WB's Joker plans which I think doesn't bode well for his version of the character. I certainly hope he's a one and done. They tried something different. It didn't take. There's no shame in moving on.
Yeah, and I don't understand why either. She had just as bad of lines as everyone else.
70% sex appeal
20% charisma
10% delivery
I agree she was pretty much as terribly written as others, but the actress can hold herself up. She got a freebie on this one, audiences won't be so forgiving the second time around.
I think a large part of it was simply because it was Harley's first live action interpretation whatsoever, and alot of people didn't think it was ever going to happen. But if Robbie wasn't as hot as she is, nobody would have given a ****, and yes...her look wasn't all that. But just from the snippet of her in the jester outfit, it's clear that wouldn't have worked. I'm certainly not the end all be all Harley fan, but I know watching SS I wasn't floored thinking this is a magical representation like I was watching Ledger. It's confusing to me that I (not being a huge fan) was left wanting more, but actual Harley fans were creaming their pants.
All in all I have very little interest in this movie. I just flat out don't like David Ayer.
I agree with everything but the bolded. I don't see how that's clear at all. The classic outfit in this movie was a throw away, plain and simple. They put minimal effort into it. I'm sure that if a guy walking around in a Bat costume can work in the dark knight, then Harley's classic costume can work anywhere.
I don't really think looking silly is a knock against it.
It's supposed to be look silly.
