There was this lady who made soap using her own bodyfat.. I don't know, I just remembered it..

I agree with Demogoblin here. I much dislike the movie's Goblin. Goblin's portrayal represents to me what was wrong with the trilogy IMO.

The villains are the weak point, imo. Doc Ock was the best portrayed villain. He was human but utterly ruthless as well. He wouldnt have stood by and let pedestrians throw garbage at him. Spider-Man was Octopus's enemy, not a potential friend.

I wanted to see Spidey get in Gobby's way as he tried to dismember his competition at Qwest. After Gobby found out that Spider-Man is Peter Parker, I would have wanted him to slowly twist the knife.

Just my opinion of a better Goblin story.

SPidey didn't get in Gobby's way because he couldn't. And if he had successfully stopped him, Norman would have gone to jail right then & there.
Oh-wait. You said Qwest. Even worse. What would Spidey have been doing at a military testing site? It's not like he could swing there.
And Norman WAS slowly twisting the knife. "First we attack his heart." He just didn't get to see his plan come to fruition.

But we could have seen him get to twist the knife, with a better script. Spidey wouldnt need to be hanging around the Qwest testing grounds. I was thinking of Norman taking down the whole company as the Goblin. Corporate headquarters and all, targeting CEOs, not just the testing sites. All of the commotion would draw Spidey's attention and they would both be unmasked in battle. This sets up their "relationship": neither can defeat the other without risking their own identity. That is, until the bridge. There would be none of this "I offered you friendship and you spat in my face" BS.

I liked that part, though. A big part of Norman's mania, especially post-Clone Saga, (one of the few good things they've done since that debacle) is his feeling of rejection by Peter. Him wanting to take a fellow superhuman science enthusiast under his wing, only to have Spidey frustrate him at every turn, has been a great plot device.
Look, I'm not even saying your ideas are wrong. I just liked what we got.
And shifting gears a bit, I was rather fond of this costume.

It's kind of a shame they didn't keep it. It was the only thing I liked about that whole "Gathering of Five" mess.

Granted, Gathering of Five was a mess. But I agree, that costume was pretty cool. A rare thing, considering how costume re-designs often go. I like this one better than the current Goblin costume. It just doesnt look..."Goblin" to me.

I agree. The above one has just the right demonic look, while the utility belt keeps the fact that it's still just a costume readily apparent.

Demonic. Now we're talking. I like the cape but I guess that was too over the top. Spidey could just tug at it. Not a safe thing to do, but one that could work.
"You dont pull on Superman's...er, the Green Goblin's cape, you dont spit in the wind...."

Hobgoblin & Demogoblin managed to do a pretty good job of avoiding it.
Well, Kingsley did anyway. Macendale, not so much.

Thats cause, despite being a top CIA agent, Macendale was, well, a punk. He got completely and thoroughly owned by a (admittedly badass) fashion designer.

Figure that one out.

Really? I like the new Green Goblin costume. It may not be the best, but it sure isn't bad, IMO.

Strangely, Humberto Ramos designed the new costume but he draws it the worst, imo. Mark Bagely did it justice and so did Terry Dodson and Mike Deodato.

Of course, we are all talking opinions, now.

I completely agree.

I remember somebody bought my kid a Spidey figure that was based on Ramos' drawings; there was some kind of "webline" apparatus that you were supposed to hook to his wrist, & the big, stubby hand couldn't fit through the hoop.

It seems like there were Spidey and Goblin figures based on Ramos's depictions. Yeah, they were ugly.

Yeah, but they took that design and made it look even better during the Marvel Knights Spider-Man. They really cleaned it it since Ramos's take.

Ramos's take

Awesome take

And for the record I have that action figure...:D

I didn't mind the Goblin's look in the film at all. It would've looked weird and been dumb had Norman been wearing makeup or something like that. The Goblin's voice bothered me alot more than anything. It sounded wayyy to cheesy. I loved the way he sounded in the 90's Spidey cartoon. He actually sounds like a goblin.
But as far as the outfit in the movies goes, the only thing I would've changed are the eyes. They looked too big. I would have liked to have seen them more narrow looking,so he looks more pissed off.

They need to make a phenomenal Spidey game with Green Goblin as the main villain. Just my two cents, but as Spidey's greatest villain, you'd think we have as many GG-related videos than we do of Venom-related video games.

Yeah GG should definitely be in the next game. Classic comic book adaption.
