I thought Dane did a wonderful job especially given the rushed material he was working with. He was convincing as both Harry and the Goblin, imo.
That being said, I have too many issues with this version. The design was bad. It looked better on film/in action than I thought it would but it is still a horrible design imo. I would have preferred Norman before Harry. I can understand wanting to change things up for movies, as this is clearly an adaptation but they didn't do a very good job here. It was totally rushed and Goblin's presence was lame. Though the fight itself was pretty intense--short and sweet. They took Spider-Man's supposed number one villain, at least he is in my book, and sidelined him with a cameo appearance. I dunno but the whole Goblin storyline so far in this series is leaving me with an empty feeling and it sucks cause they had that great foreshadowing in the first movie trying to build up Norman as a character. And then he doesn't even become the Goblin. #smh
Overall, the villains have been the weakpoint of these ASM films and I am fearful of how they are gonna portray the likes of Ock, Vulture, Mysterio, Kraven, or whoever else they write into these movies.
