Woah that is bad.

Wow. THat's harsh
You think..? :oldrazz:

The issue where he is 'haunted' by all the Goblins of the past was incredible.

Too bad half of the Goblins, later, turned out to be alive or red herrings!

Don't remember that one.

I wish they'd make a spider-man video game with awesome aerial combat, and norman green goblin in his comic style costume. As well as my second favorite goblin - Kingsley/Original Hobgoblin.

It can be done. But the gamemakers are too damn symbiote-crazy to give it a shot.

Ok, I gotta ask: Who wins in a fight, Otto or Norman? I wouldnt bother asking this in the Lair. :oldrazz:

Norm could win it, but I really think the deck is stacked against him. Octopus is no push over either. He'd have to have the glider with the missiles and machine guns to keep Ock busy while lobbing pumpkin bombs like a...well, mad man. After a while, something has got to get past the tentacles.

Let's not forget, Norman is more than his weapons. If he can get past the tentacles, his strength can give him a real edge against Otto.

Indeed. While Otto is cunning, ruthless and nearly (key word) invincible behind his tentacles, he is still just an ordinary man, physically. Norman, however, has gone toe to toe with Spider-Man. He is no dummy, either.

Damn, I want to see this fight happen. Besides the MKSM fight. I gotta say, it wasnt fair. Otto shouldnt have been doped up.

Oh, yeah. That was a rip-off. I remember how mad I was when they killed Ock off back during the Clone Saga. He was the focus of some awesome fights.

I always get in trouble for saying this but the only Ock stories that really impressed me were Negative Exposure and the Spect vol 2 Countdown story. Otto was such a cold, calculating bastard in those books. He finally used those tentacles as viciously as he should.

Now that would've been something worth watching: a Green Goblin/Doc Ock rundown

Ock's a "nerd" with 8 arms

Gobby's a "suit" with super strength

Gobby wins!

What's funny is, I feel like they've always been in "competition" to be Spidey's main villain. The best villains are reflections of the hero, & both Norman & Otto have aspects in common with him, they've both been thorns in his side more than anyone else, & they both have some damn good stories under their belts.

I once heard it said that Stan Lee considers Doctor Octopus to be Spider-Man's greatest enemy, while the Green Goblin is Peter Parker's greatest foe.

I love to hear Stan the Man saying that

I like that. Yeah, I can see that. Ock handed Spidey his first defeat, while Norman has caused Peter turmoil in his personal life. Yet another way in which Spider-Man is unique.

BTW, does Gwen count as a thick woman? She would have to be of the Vida variety moreso than others. Could Norman be even more like us than we suspected?

THey all depend on the artist. Some like her w/Vida proportions, others with Jessica Alba proportions. This applies to all comic book women.
The only one I consistently consider thick-mainly b/c she hasn't gone through numerous artists' interpretations-is Ant.

Please don't call Gwen thick

Some of us mean it as a compliment. :oldrazz:

Who is Ant?

Hm, never heard of her. But yes, that angle does have an odd effect. :hehe:

I'm beginning to think this is not the fault of the viewers.
