But I just don't think you can lay his poor performance as Superman soley at his feet.

I wouldn't either, but at the same time, he doesn't exactly project much of a vibe or presence when not doing anything like other better actors do. No knock against him, personally...he seems like a really nice young man and I think that came out through Superman when he got the opportunity in the movie. Plus, Reeve is a really daunting standard to live up to...especially in a movie that feeds off that legacy so much.

I swear, I think that anyone who complains about Hector's big head in the movie is being silly. Why do villains in comic book movies have to have normal shaped heads all of the time? Especially if there was a 'silly' side effect because of something from space, people who complain about his big head in the movie should see the bigger picture and should know that not every comic book movie villain can look palatable for them.

Yes, I certainly do. According to reports, Lively beat out actors such as Kerri Russel and Jennifer Garner among others for the role and both the studio and film makers were impressed with her audition. They were also impressed with her work in "The Town" (the Ben Afleck picture). Apparently Lively has the ability to realistically play a role like an older drug addicted mother in "The Town" as well as a the charming, emotional and sexual young Pippa Lee (in the movie of the same name). Recently, Lively was named "Breakthrough Performer of the Year" by the folks at CinemaCon and has only received compliments from the directors she has worked with. I believe that your negative comments are baseless and unless you can come up with some real proof that she can't act you really need to stop making these comments 'cause they are just full of it.
