You (The Morningstar) told them not to bring up Thor before bringing up The Dark Knight.

For anyone that wants a new avvy, here you go.

1) I thought that the ring could create constructs that looked like real things. In other words that the gun wouldnt shoot bullets, but construct bullets. It seems like it shoots the real deal, like the flame gun shoots actual flames.

2) DAT TRAINING. OMG I HAD A NERGASM. Sinestro take me now! I want to have your babies!

3) The suits look amazing when they create constructs and they charge up. So awesome! Hal you might have the character of a cardbox, but damn if your powers and supporting characters arent cool.

Back in the Silver Age, the ring could actually transform matter in some cases, so if you willed a real bullet, the ring could change the atoms in the air into lead and brass to make a bullet. In the case of the flame thrower, the flames are just the result of the air being burned by the green energy (the color would indicate the temperature). In modern times, though you do not see that much if ever, though you do see green constructs. In my opinion, the ring should be able to do anything you can imagine and making things that are only green is a limitation (and a contradiction of that premise).

Why are people bringing Thor up? Stop being such raging fanboys. Learn from Dark Knights mistakes.

This trailer has definitely raised my excitement for the movie.

The mistakes that led it to be the highest grossing and most critically acclaimed superhero movie of all time?

I'm sure every superhero movie this summer is hoping they made those same "mistakes."

The poster, not the movie.

Yeah but that would be overkill, wouldnt it? Constructing actual things from the real matter that they're supposed to be made of?

It wasnt a flawless film though.

Hal looked amazing when he's floating in front of the Sun. That was a great shot.

Really, really great trailer.
it was a fantastic and epic shot.

its something superman deserved in 2006.

i always like when superhero suits get destroyed. you can see blood on hes shoulder.

Some of the effects still look a little off.

The Oa scenes look like theyre going to be so awesome (Hal vs Sinestro...sploosh). But all the Earth stuff seems so boring and unfunny.

Im expecting this to be decent. They made a really smart marketing decision by focusing more on the Oa stuff than the Earth stuff.

My internet is slow as molasses and I'm still waiting for this to load in HD.... Ugh...

I'd give this a good 7.5/10. Not the best trailer I've seen this year but at least they seem to have addressed almost all of the problems so it shows they're listening. Ryan reynolds still comes off as...well...Ryan Reynolds but this is his best showing in any footage so far released. Blake Lively, well she's occupying space in the trailer but not much more than that. We finally get something with Hammond and seeing Tim Robbins's character and Amanda Waller was nice. More Sinestro stuff which was fine and Kilowag's voice(I agree with whoever said Madsen would've been a better choice) will do. Pretty easy to tell who the voice actor is though, even w/o looking at the credits. The SFX are coming along nicely. Still has to struggle with the same thing that Thor did, which is the inherent silliness of the concept(even by superhero standards) but I guess there no getting around that w/o changing it into something unrecognizable as Green Lantern.

I gave the 1st trailer a 6/10 but I was really being kind there. It was more like a 5/10. Hopefully THIS is more an accurate representation of what the film will be like in tone rather than that other trailer.

Wow! That was a treat! :wow:

Great to see WB's and the Green Lantern movie crew come through with this kick ass 2nd theatrical trailer! It's all coming together now rather nicely!

They finally showed the Guardians, more of Sinestro, Tomar Re and Kilowog and different action scenes and SVX and also a glimpse of the Sinestro Corp symbol.

Yeah baby yeah! :hal:
