And we're getting all three next year :awesome:

Yeah, 2012 is going to be epic.

I mean, the three biggest heroes of all time all have movies (two reboots and a final chapter) in the same year... Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man.

And then you have the freakin' Avengers.

It's gonna be amazing.

what makes these exciting for me is the people working on them.
If the people behind the films are interesting than so will be the films.

Yeah, I can't wait.

I sort of wish Ghost Rider 2 wasn't coming out next March just so we could have a year where superhero movies might be able to go 4/4

You mean you don't have 100% confidence in Nic Cage?

Yeah, me neither.

Next year is going to be crazy the superhero genre is going to come out full force but Ghost rider 2 idk it could surprise us.

My only question regarding Ghost Rider 2 is whether it can be more of a colossal failure than Punisher War Zone or not.

Yeah, me neither.

His Oscar-caliber delivery of "no, not the bees!" notwithstanding, I would have to comply.

It can be. I think the fact that they're doing a half reboot/half sequel could help make it worse by confusing the hell out of people.

And they kept cutting the production's budget - after filming had already started :lmao:

Nic Cage used to be in some solid action movies. His run in the mid 90s (The Rock, Con-Air, Face-Off) are all awesome IMO. His horrible southern accent and ridiculous lines in Con-Air get me every time.

"Put the bunny back in the box."

If I were a big GR fan, I'd be legit furious that they were "rebooting" but keepng Nic Cage. It's ludicrous.

When Nic Cage cares about a movie, he can be great. I doubt he cares about GR2. Back when the film was getting started all you heard was that he was only doing it to pay off the IRS.

LOL seriously?

Well that's a vote of confidence.

dude the opening of con air with the letter reading is pure bliss for me.
"tie the ribbon around the old oak tree cause..."

I think hes actually a legit fan he has a Ghost rider tatto on his arm.

Yeah I think it was around the time when Dog the Bounty Hunter bailed him out of jail.

(^that's actually a true story, btw. swear I'm now making it up :lmao:)

I don't think anything can be as bad as War Zone.
I'd like to think so. It was the perfect storm of horrible movie and disastrous box office nuke. But then I started hearing about Ghost Rider 2...

I blame Sony for going ahead with a sequel rather than letting the rights revert back to Marvel, and for keeping Nic Cage when they could've gone for a new GR. The sequel has bomb written all over it.

Why do people think the superhero genre is going to die so to speak. I dont really understand theres like thousands of crappy rom coms every year people dont say that genre is dying. I just cant wrap my mind around a genre just being a "fad" can some one explain this to me.

Its reactionary babble by those that lack perspective.

Next year the superhero movies will probably all break records, and those doomsayers will shut up for at least another year.
