Official Monk Thread

The age of your post doesn't make it any less illogical.

if this does turn out to be the case that it was just stupid craig t nelson's character who just shows up in the last episodes to be the killer for some stupid illegitimate child then that would be among the highest forms of sucketh for this show...

Yep. Move over Seinfeld Finale. Not to mention Disher hooking up with Sharona is rediculous. They don't see each for 6 years. Then all of a sudden they both just happen to be single, & still have feelings for each other? They were really only hinting at them liking each other when she left. It wasn't like there was a hardcore love thing going on there.

Yeah... Lets stop with all the illogical nastalgia crap. Natalie is a million times better than Sh**rona.:whatever:

This episode just proved it.

Really? I find Howard to be bland ass hell forcing them to over compensate with other characters to make up for her blandness. I blame her for the show's sharp decline in quality. She came, was an incredibly boring character so to compensate they made the characters ridiculous caracitures of what they once were. They turned Randy from an egotistical, somewhat arrogant, somewhat dim cop into one you honestly could not believe has not been fired. He has had no redeeming qualities. They've given him the IQ of a mentally ill ten year old. They turned Stottlemeyer into the stereotypical tough detective with a heart of gold who is now incapable of solving cases without Monk as opposed to his original characterization of a good cop and a good man who while frustrated by Monk, begrudgingly respects him and cares for him. And Monk was the worst change of all. Without Sharona to play off of, and Howard's horrible lack of comedic presence, they were forced to go the route of making Monk solely driven by his phobias. He was no longer a PERSON with obsessive compulsive disorder, he was just the disorder. One could say it was because the writers ran out of ideas, but that doesn't change the fact that the sudden change in characterization came exactly at the time Howard joined the cast. She is bland so they compensated and that killed the show IMO.

I know right! I am hoping that the Judge was just a ruse. I really hope that they didn't just introduce the killer in the final episode. I was always hoping it would be Harold.

Harold doing it would be fairly senseless, though no more so than Craig T. Nelson covering up his love child.

How are you so certain it's because of an illegitimate child?

The emphasis on midwife. A politician hiring a killer to off birthing clinic employees, what else could it be?

Surprisingly I agree with everything you said. I just like Natalie more than Sharona. I think if Sharona had stayed. I would have been tired of her constant nagging by now.

Disher's little stunt in the Railroad station was the crescendo of stupid for me! WOW!

Randy's train station fiasco was just absurd. Any real cop would lose their badge over something like that.

Especially since Monks life is at stake. Do you all think they are going to Kill Monk off?

I hate to see Monk end but I heard a rumor that they were turning Little Monk into a full length show.

Surprisingly I agree with everything you said.
So you agree that Natalie is an incredibly boring character, played by a bland ass hell Howard, yet you felt the need to reply to an old post I made by saying "Natalie is a million times better" than Sharona? Illogical Indeed. :funny:

With the Finale coming up people are speculating how the show could end. I've heard everything from Stottlemeyer murdering Trudy, Monk dies, or they pull a Dallas and this is all apart of Monk's dream. :funny:

Supposedly [BLACKOUT]Sharona is a big part of the finale, a poster at imdb suggested she could be the midwife. [/BLACKOUT]

Well....

[blackout]Matt was pretty much right. Trudy had an affair with the judge when he was law professor. Got pregnant. The midwife delivered the baby. She said it only lived 9 min so might have died or he killed it. He wanted to meet with her before she died in the car bomb.[/blackout]

Take that, Coach! Damn, it's Mr. Monk's Fists of Fury on this episode.

[blackout]And now Monk is magically getting better.[/blackout]

:facepalm::facepalm:

****ing ****** series finale...

I've watched this entire series with baited breath for who killed Trudy only to see some of the stupidest most pathetic writing i've seen on a show.

****ing pathetic, ****ing useless, ****ing horrible... I'm so bloody disappointed and I DIDNT EVEN HAVE ANY DAMN EXPECTATIONS and this episode let me down...

Did they really think that covering Craig T Nelson's face in the dark in the first episode of this two parter would really fool anyone into thinking it's not him?? I thought the direction and writing were so poor these past two episodes.

I enjoyed the finale even though it was obvious how things played out. I'd of much rather they not show Craig T Nelson in the shadow in Part one an I would of liked had he had more of a pressence on the show over the years to make this a bigger deal on who done it.

I would take a bland Natalie over an annoying Jersey stereotype in Sharona. Sorry that is so hard for you to understand.

I always liked Sharona more then Natalie. Character wise I liked Sharona for being tougher an someone who could take care of themselves if need be. As for Natalie sometimes I just couldn't stand how much Howard would under act. Like tonight's episode when she used the wipes an got sick I thought she was faking being sick it looked that bad.

Ugh, I agree. I hated the ending.

First of all, Trudy having an affair and child with the Judge is weak. It just destroys everything we've known about Trudy thus far and turns her into pretty much a cheap, two faced, tramp.

Second, the whole Judge thing was lame. Dale the Whale, Sheriff Rollins, the six fingered man, etc. They all made this person who killed Trudy sound like some sort of criminal mastermind on par with Monk. Instead it is essentially a politician who couldn't keep his dick in his pants. Weak.

It really bugs me that Monk was on the verge of death and neither Sharona or his brother came to see him.

Yeah, this episode was waaaay too predictable, but then again, it's been a long time since this show has surprised me. So I guess this episode was on par. Sadly.

I haven't been a series regular of Monk in ages...but I gotta say. :o any eppy with Casper Van Dien in it is a win in my book. Finally, his agent gets him on something that isn't ultra low budget DTV or tv movie.
