Is Nightavenger going to get revenge on those who falsely accused him after he get his superpowers?

Yeah, maybe he gets revenge but accidentally hurts someone/something in the process and that's what inspires him to use his powers for good rather than vengeance.

I was accused of drinking alcohol. Also there was this guy that said I made a move on this woman I knew. Both were not true.

That's not a big deal. Tons of high school kids get drink alcohol and get drunk. I did, with my mother! I got drunk at New Years last year. And I got drunk in China (from one dixie cup). I really don't drink that much on account that I get drunk too easily. My point is that being accused of such isn't really going to hurt anyone's reputation because it's pretty much a common occurance.

Also I was accused of looking at some girls ass. I didn't and I denied it. My co-worker didn't beleive me, but oh well. We had some laughs with it. That kind of accusation is not that big of a deal. Besides, the girl didn't even have an ass, I checked that out waaay before that incident :oldrazz:. Being accused of hitting on some girl ain't that big of a deal either, it could have been worse. Like someone could have accused you putting the moves on some guy or something.

Then he may come off as a homophobic....

Ok its just when it gets repeated which it was alcohol for me that it starts to annoy me. It was never true. They continued to accuse and even told people to try and make them believe it was true.

I don't think that I would go in that direction for the fact he has been out for High School and College for a while so it is in the past.

It probally got repeated over and over simply because it annoyed you. Alcohol is not as big as deal as say drugs, stealing, lying, squealing, etc.

"Falsely Accused". Wasn't that a Leslie Nielsen movie?

So this is the third time that she finds out that Jason has powers and she is still SHOCKED? Are both Jason and Rita stupid or something? Also you could just say that Jason f**ked the s**t out of Rita or made love to her or simply they just went to sleep with nothing happening at all.
Lmao!

I'd recommend giving your character one slightly effective power...and erase the rest. The more powers a character has the harder it is for writers to create good stories because there isnt much of a conflict.
Take Superman for example: anything you throw at him has to be magic/kryptonite/galactic-super-villain related because he's so damn powerful anythinig else could be beaten up in half of a panel.

Don't make your hero so righteous. Give him some internal demons or some mixed emotions about life. Don't make things so black and white for him.

Lastly, give him a name that doesn't make people associate him with other existing characters. I know its been said, but its true. Night Avenger sounds like Nightwing's fill-in or something.

Hell, on second thought: don't even give him a super-name. If his identity is publically known he doesn't really need one. Characters have them so that people have something to call them since their true identities are secret. Have them call the guy Jason.

I like ZoIIand's idea. If he's going to be publicly known, why even bother with a superhero name.

Although I like the idea of just simply a righteous hero. Not all heroes need to have their parent's gunned in a crappy alley, or have his uncle shot due to his carelessness, or have any demons right from the start. We have enough heroes that have internal trauma to deal with, Superman (who is he Kryptonian or human), Batman (tragic childhood), Daredevil (f**ked up life), Spider-Man (lost his uncle and love), Wonder Woman (a warrior for peace), Robin (loses nearly everyone close to him), Wonder Girl (loss of boyfriend), Kyle Rayner (everyone who touches his penis dies), Hal Jordan (destruction of Coast City and Paralax), Wolverine (constantly mind-wiped and a tortured soul), and so on. Not every hero needs angst.

I really don't see something wrong with a guy just simply obtaining powers and decides to use them for the greater good, simply because he's a nice upstanding guy.

If he does confront a demon, have it occur way after he becomes a superhero, such as he sees a crime so horrific, that he questions the criminal's humanity and whether he is so evil, that he deserves death.

Lastly, give him a name that doesn't make people associate him with other existing characters. I know its been said, but its true. Night Avenger sounds like Nightwing's fill-in or something.

Ok in that case this will take some time for the new name.

I say don't bother with coming up with a new name if he has a public identity.

Well I have not made anything official. So I could change it to him having a secret idenity.

While I am making changes I am thinking about giving him a mask. Just one that covers his eyes like Green Lantern, Nightwing. I should probally just have Rita as the only one who knows who Nightavenger really is.

I think when creating your own character it's best to start with a more street level hero,a guy that gets one specific ability and uses it to help people, perhaps make it that he doesn't intend to use his power for good but finds himself in situations that forces him to question his own morality

Also Nightavenger looks a bit like one of the F4 in that basic blue Lycra suit and if you are gonna give him a mask give him a full one as opposed to a Robin style eye mask that way you have more freedom to deign and differentiate him from other heroes

I am curruntly working on a story of Nightavengers first encounter with one of his major enemies. It is going to have three battles in it.

What's officially copyrighted...that sketch of the guy in the blue suit?
