Didn't know they were going to fast forward like that. I guess this will be the last season and they'll tie everything up. Should be interesting. Chad Michael Murry is a bit hard to take, but he's okay as Lucas.

I saw a commercial for season 5 the other day and they showed Nathan. He has a beard and was drinking a beer. He looked like white trash to me. How the mighty have fallen. lol

yeah i saw the preview the other day. i saw Nathan and Haley and I was like Wow, didn't know that K-Fed and Britney were gonna be on here. lol.

This probably will be the last season. Or so we know? I think it'd be interesting to see 2 seasons with the 4 year jump.

^ I know. Most of the kids in my college graduate in 4.5 - 5 years now. I have to take an extra semester to finish my gen eds and minor. But I think most of the kids in the show didn't even go to college. They went to work right after high school. That sends a great message to the teenage viewers. lol

I think if this season is good then there will be a sixth season. I think Mark said on the 1st season commentary that he wanted 4 years 100 episodes. Well u can't have that unless u get 5 seasons but he hasn't said that season 5 would be the last one. I think he said either 6 or 7 would be the last if they get that far. I'd like 2 see season six skip like 6 months or something and in season 7 a year or two if we get that many.

you know, the more and more I think about the show and see the commcercials, the more I think none of this could happen. It seems as though all the kids are successful after 4 years. Lucas is an author, Brooke is a designer, Peyton books bands or something, Mouth is a sports announcer. Sure they could be successful, but not after only 4 years (and without a college degree).

Haley is a teacher. It seems as though Brooke didn't go to college, but who knows. Who knows, Lucas may not have gone to school for writing or to be a coach. Nathan isn't successful, maybe Skillz is struggling even after he went 2 college.

Apparently, because Haley is a teacher, she hires a nanny to take care of Jamie. Eventually it turns out that the nanny is kinda psycho and kidnaps him. Sounds brutal.

so then Haley goes to college, right? Don't you need a college degree to be a teacher? And if so, how does she raise her kid and go to school while Nathan is a drunk? He really seemed like K-Fed from those commercials. lol

As gimmicky as it is to have multiple years pass between seasons, the people behind the show are right. I wouldn't have wanted to see the whole gang in college. Too many shows do that, and it rarely feels genuine. A lot of the issues would be fairly predictable, and in the context of this particular show, they've already dealt with a lot of stuff that would make typical college drama seem pretty tame.

So, Nathan can't walk!!! HA!! Okay, I guess that's not nice. Great red herring, though, making us think it happened because he got in a car accident, driving drunk. I hope they filed assault charges against the jerk who threw him through the window.

Brooke as a successful fashion designer I guess isn't a stretch in the grand scheme of things. The Olsen Twins have been in control of a multi-million-dollar empire since before puberty.

Aside from Lucas' one book, I'd hardly say that he's famous. If I put out a successful book, and had publisher's waiting anxiously for the new one, I sure as hell wouldn't be coaching high school basketball. It was cool to see him punk that hotshot from Hailey's class, though! He looked like U-Turn from Weeds' younger brother.

Why do I get the feeling Mouth is gonna end up nailing his boss(or more appropriately, she'll nail him)?

Oh, and Nathan's son is cute as hell. Good child actors are out there, people! A nice balance of cuteness and awareness.

ya same here. Everyone just kind of jumped back into everything to quickly and easily. And its weird hearing Brooke say that Payton is/was the one for Lucas. I wonder who her love interest will be then.

Brooke is gonna possibly end up with Mouth. (it's quite possible) I didn't think it felt rushed. THe first hour sorta lagged cuz of all the commercials they had. But I'm sorta treating the previous One Tree Hill seasons as One Tree Hill: The High School Years. and now it's One Tree Hill: The Later Years as they restructured the show pretty much giving it sort of a new show feel to it. So it's almost like 2 different shows that share the same characters (if that makes sense).

i kinda wanna see Dan back into the show. to see if he's actually changed or not. I miss Lucas's Mom, Karen. and I actually miss Deb. (dunno what happened in season four cuz haven't watched the dvd yet cuz i just got into the show).
