Spider-Man 3 Official Thread for the Spider-Man 3 Footage on Heroes and NBC.com!

Well the symbiote that went to Kasady entered his blood, they could work around how that formed a red appearance.

Well this could be way out there, but...what if the symbiote goes to find Eddie (that is if Eddie gets taken to prison), and it covers Eddie turning him into Venom, and as he escapes, he sees Cletus being taken back to his cell, and Cletus yells about how he wants that (the symbiote, not Eddie, haha), and so Venom decides to just beat Cletus to a pulp, and now, being Cletus is all bloody and beaten, a part of the symbiote gets ahold of him and mixes with the blood coming off of him, and thus creating a red symbiote creature called Carnage...way out there, but, that might be cool, lol.

I always liked how Cletus begged for the symbiote to bond with him, he was the first to actually want it

Am I the only one who thinks Carnage is a much more interesting character than Venom?

D!

Damn... I can assure you I know there are at least 2 more!!

D!

I've always been a fan of Cletus more than Carnage himself, but I would want some major changes to his character if they were to ever bring him to the screen

I actually enjoyed the 7 -min. clip preview than the whole movie of X-Men:The Last Stand.

you mean Carnage = Bad for a family movie right?

Maybe if Carnage had his own movie...but I don't think he would ever make it into a Spider-Man film and shoot for what they want it to be...PG-13. To me, there are far better character out there that deserve the spotlight before red Venom. And then they took it further and made Toxic:whatever: . IMO, Carnage is great for a comic and cartoon...but not for a live action movie.

I saw the clip last night, and, like i said when the 2nd was in the making and i said about this one, the 3rd will be more of the same.
And i´m not wrong.....

Is it a bad thing?
No, absolutely not, but, like the first two, it will not be all that it could be.
Sam Raimi is not a great director, he is a capable one.
In his merit i give that he is intelligent and passionated, he didn´t made a Sam Raimi movie about Spider-Man, but a Spider-Man movie where you can forget that it is directed by Sam Raimi.
But he is not the best director out there, and it shows...

About the clip....i wasn´t blown away.
First, because it wasn´t nothing i wasn´t expecting, it´s the same kind of fights we´ve seen the last two movies.
More even, is not that well filmed, it´s a bit convulted, where you lose track on the middle of all the CGI, and Peter doesn´t make nothing more than running away at the same time that Harry kicks his butt.
On the other scenes....it doesn´t give much, but the dialogue on the first one, with MJ and Peter is a bit on the mediocre side.

BTW, Maguire is fairly bad on all the scenes :o

Firstly it's toxin, sorry I just had to correct that.

Well in fairness, Carnage in the comics has done far more brutal acts of violence than we have seen in the movies, and if kids are able to read that than it should be possible for it to be done on screen. Anyway with a new director/cast etc the direction of the films may change, and I must admit I'm not seeing the present crew returning for a fourth. So once raimi and co leave who's to say they don't bring in a director who heads into a darker direction. Think what may of been if Fincher had actually become the director of these movies. We would be seeing a far more serious/darker version of the franchise than we have been given from Raimi, who's to say that a similar director won't come along, change the tone of the movies and bring in a character like Carnage.

Ok this is like the third time I post this.

Can someone please post an .AVI version of the 480p HD 7 1/2 minutes clip? Some of us cant play the Quicktime version but can watch an .AVI HD file with no problem.

Really Please!

I've said it before, but it makes no sense to me that Brock/Venom would be killed. He is so freakin popular that showing him only at the end of part 3 would completly waste the character. If he were to die then I would love to see a spinoff film series.

Yeah, I have the same problem, but I haven't found another version of the vid, except the Utube one.

Anybody? :hyper:

I don't know why I put toxic...Anywho...Carnage would need an R rating or fanboys would throw a piss fit. Sony will never let their cashcow get a higher rating which they know would equate to less viewings. Carnage is ok but IMO is a part of a chain that they sucked the life out of with the symbiote. Electro, Mysterio, Kraven, Lizard, etc... IMO deserve their shot at the silver screen before Carnage. Now if they set up a cliffhanger with Kletus at the end of SM3...that would be fine and they could segway into his own movie which could get an R rating. Like you said, it depends on the director but I can guarantee you that Spider-Man will never have an R rating...Carnage included or not.

I don't think Carnage would need an R rating at all, Ghost Rider had some pretty horrific images, and it easily passed off as a PG-13. With the right handling, they could pull off a PG-13 Carnage

I don't really care to see a PG-13 Carnage, he's strictly R. It's best to just use Venom.

For anyone who can't play the Quicktime video, I'm uploading an mpg version on Sendspace right now. It's kinda crappy quality though.

That last image of Sandman caught me off guard. Incredible. And to think I at one time doubted him as a main villain.

The doubt for Sandman wa completly deserved, he was never a particuarly interesting villain, Raimi's just managed to sprinkle his magic pixie dust over him and has produced a visually awe inspiring character
