I'm sorry but isn't anyone really really pissed off about two things?

First of all, the build up to this fight had been set up in the first film and all the way through the second and sony decided to SHOW it out of all the clips they had.

and secondly, How easily harry went down. If i had months to plan my friend's demise, i'd make sure he got some serious pain. I mean his father had less angst against spidey but managed to put in a good asswhooping. shocking.

If they´re willing to show that, you can imagine what they´re holding back. The purpose is to drive people crazy to see the movie, to see that on the big screen, and it did it.

Okay after watching that video again I noticed that Peter does have a concerned look on his face before Harry grabs him.

I'm hoping that they make a big deal about Venom being immune to it, which puts Peter at an even greater disadvantage because he can't predict his attacks. Imagine how scary it would be for Peter to know someone like Venom is after him and know that one of his main weapons is completly useless.

If they´re willing to show that, you can imagine what they´re holding back. The purpose is to drive people crazy to see the movie, to see that on the big screen, and it did it.

This is by far the person with the greatest reason to want spidey dead, he thinks he killed his father. the conflict has been building for a long time, i don't think sony should have underminded this point and released the scene.

ah c'mon, parker wasn't in any sort of bad condition, he could have gone twenty extra rounds, once the 'surprise factor' had been set in place.

Basically once, peter gets his ring, he's running rings around harry who can't do anything right. He barely manages to even keep up with him once he jumps off that roof and looses his assailant. for a short period of time.

^I agree to some extent. Harry's gear is more or less the same as his father's, so Peter already knows how to deal with it, and he was just avoiding seriously hurting his friend.

I think for the next spiderman film they should do some crossovers, Daredevils in enough development hell it doesn't seem like Fox will ever get another movie out. Why don't they bring Daredevil/Kingpin into the next fresh Spiderman movie. I know both characters film rights are owned by different studios, but surely for success sake they could make a deal.

Like I said, the movies haven´t been building up Harry´s revenge, they´re building up his resolution with Pete, which is most likely Harry´s redemption, not his death (well, not in that scene anyway).

You said he wasn´t beat after the "surprise factor", and that´s when he´s hit against the wall. After that he´s still hit several times. Harry fell from a high distance and went beating around in the way, that´s a lot worse than what he did to Peter, and that´s why Peter´s a better fighter, and that´s the point, Peter IS a better fighter than Harry. It´s logical that he is. The real suspense of the scene, as we see in the end, is Harry getting killed or not.

That's how it should be. As far as I know this is Harry's first encounter with a superhero...excuse him for not being perfect lol. It's not like he's some professional villain or anything. The only reason Harry got so many hits in the beginning is because Peter didn't want to hurt him. When Harry missed that first punch and got stuck in the wall Peter could have ended things right there with one good crack to Harry's skull but instead he tried to talk to him. As things escalated he really had no choice but to take Harry down because he obviously wasn't going to listen to reason.

Interesting that Peter isn't wearing his Spidey costume under his clothes. You can tell because his shirt gets ripped and you can see his skin.

I always liked Sandman. Visually he could be one of the most fun villains. Still...I want Kraven next. I dont' know why so many people want to see the Lizard.

I also always liked Sandman, only because he's a great visual in the comics. But Kraven? He's a lame villain, and would be even more lame in a movie.

I want to see Lizard because I think he has an interesting story. I like the fact that he and Pete are friends but Spidey and Lizard are enemies. That's why he's my favorite Spidey villain. And besides, they've already introduced the character.

Also, we haven't really seen Spidey fight a monster in the movies. I guess you could count Venom as a monster, but not as much as Lizard.

I don't think they'd show that scene if they didn't have a lot more waiting in the wings where that came from. They'd never give away something that was the climax of the film already. I'm wondering if Peter and Harry are going to fight again after that, perhaps? I bet they do, that whole scene had a feeling to me of "this is just the first round." I'm sure there's more where that came from.

Harry is strong because of the serum gas but Peter will always be stronger. peter had to go after harry and hurt him because he knew that was the only way to stop harry. and as you can see peter looks very worried once harry is knocked out from being clothslined so peter never wanted to hrt harry but he had to do what he had to do. now Harry seems a little bit stronger than his father so Harry did hurt peter in parts of the fight but Peter defeated harry by using his own methods. Harry has always wanted to get revenge on spidey but once he does he underestimates him which is a mistake harry made.
