People, just ADMIT that Pete's spidey-sense should have gone off BIG-TIME a long time before Harry Picked him up from his Moped! I'm willing to overlook it, but DAMN it's irritating. His spidey-sense is a very cool abillity all by it self; I mean sensing danger! THAT'S cool! and they dont seem to use it that much in the films, and it's VERY irritating!...

In SM-1, Peter was warned way way waaay before GreenGoblin started blowing everything up at the Unity-Festival! His spidey-sense went off with GreenGoblin beeing several 100meters away; now you're telling me that Peter wont be warned when Harry is coming RIGHT UP HIS TAIL!!?? Pretty lame... UNLESS of course Harry has some kind of device that makes it impossible for Peter to sense the danger. Kind of like a radar not beeing able to pick up on surden things...

I'm going to chalk up his spider sense not going off to his being preoccupied with going to propose to MJ, and him just involuntarily ignoring it somehow. I don't know if that's ever happened in the books, but I'll assume that's what it is, because yes, it is a very big plot hole, you can't deny it.

Second, his facial expression does change right before Harry picks him up, his sense does go off, he just seems off in his own world. Look again Naite, unless your watching a horrible blurry version of it, it is easy to see Pete's facial expression does change right before the Gob picks him up.

It happens all the time in the books, although after all this time you'd think he'd learn to trust his spider sense a lot more.
